Elvis and Merlin are dead ringers for each other. Merlin is very laid back and loves heavy metal ( is there any other kind? ) I love every panel…. Elvis’s sweet expression as he looks at pictures, the picture of all the cats holding their favorite toys, Hazel doesn’t look like Elvis and Merlin. I wonder if she’s a sister in name only. Happy Thanksgiving, every one!

This brought tears to my eyes. What a lovely family! Makes me miss my daughter so much, though she is coming home next week from FSU, I might drive up and get her on Tuesday!

Aww, I wondered if we’d ever hear from Elvis’s littermates! Do they live together IRL? I remember Georgia mentioning that she knew who adopted Merlin, but don’t remember hearing anything about the sister.

Hazel has different coloring from her brothers, is that normal in Siamese cats, is their coloring influenced by gender?

I just noticed the (!) over Beatrix in the first panel. Guess she’s never seen an actual letter, only texts?

My parents had a cat named Merlin. He was very close to my father. When my father died, he was so utterly miserable that my mother, and the RSPCA, decided he would be better in a completely new home and having a completely different life. The RSPCA found a new home for him, and later checked on him. They reported that this turned out to be good for him.

A master of stealing food, eh? Obviously she was trained by a bear.

I have been pretty good this year and all I want for Christmas is a copy of that picture Elvis sent to his Brother & Sister. If any of you are on good terms with Santa, would you put in a good word for me? I seem to have lost the Big-Guy’s email address. I would be happy to make a donation to the Elf Widow’s and Orphan’s Fund. Pay it forward, that’s my motto.

It is a cute detail that Bea is holding a smart phone and looks surprised by an actual letter. There is very little that competes with receiving an actual letter in the mail from a friend or relative. The substantial nature of opening the envelope, holding the letter and seeing the person’s handwriting is a joy. The ethereal nature of an email will never measure up.

Wow, more cats, Squeee!! At first I thought Hazel was flame-point, but she looks more diluted-calico-point, which I just made up :) I love her casual pants outfit and her dancing past the plate of food! Also, giant toe bean sightings!

I forgot that Elvis had siblings! but, from his personality, i would have thoughy that Elvis was the 1st born, or doesn’t birth order (guess it might be hard to keep track) play a role in personality like it does in us humans?

I see I’m not the only one who teared up over this. I tell my cats their origin stories (that’s not weird is it?) but I don’t think they believe there was any life prior to their CEO positions here.

I love seeing Elvis’s siblings and how happy all they are. I think about our panther boy’s siblings. All three were adopted a month before him. I’m sure they are in happy homes. The people who run his shelter were delighted to have adopted out so many black cats, but were concerned about him getting a home because he was more timid than they. When hubby picked him up, he started purring up a storm and that was it, he’s been daddy’s boy ever since. <3

Is this gonna end up turning into Snoopy and the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm? Deerfield, it may well not be a parking lot.

I can see it now, and it is lovely! Better late than never.

I’m dead. I’m destroyed. This is everything. My poor heart <3 <3 <3
