I will not slag Opal for forgetting. A couple of weeks ago I came out of a restaurant and at first glance I could not see my car. Then I started searching for it and almost began to panic. I thought did it get towed? Did I park in a no parking zone and just was not paying attention? One of the owners of the restaurant had been outside sitting on a bench and he saw that I looked anxious. I told him about my car. He looked around then said, “I think that’s your car beside that pickup truck.” He had spotted it in a parking lot across the street in front of a blood lab. I had parked it there, got blood work done, walked down the street to the bank then across the street to the restaurant. So no, I will not criticize Opal! LOL :-)

I met a customer for lunch at a Rotary Club meeting in a town I hadn’t been to before. Afterwards we were going to go back to his office but I couldn’t find my rental car for 20 min. Very embarrassing. He was friendly and followed me around while I looked for it.

Back in the 70s my mother-in-law came home driving the wrong car. Didn’t even realize it. It was a mid 60’s Chevy impala and hers was a Ford. They were the same color. That’s back when the ignition was on the dash and had ears around the keyhole and you could actually crank the car without the key if the ignition was left in the proper position. She just hopped in, it started, so she drove it home.

It’s always the husband’s fault. Just remember that if a husband thinks he has had the last word in an argument, it’s really the beginning of the next one.

Once in the early 70’s, my mother in law drove home in the wrong car. It was the same color as hers, and the same size, both mid 60’s large cars, her’s a ford but she came home in a chevy. Those models had the ignition switch on the dash board with ears on either side of the keyhole and it was possible to crank the engine without the key if the switch was left in the proper position. She had just hopped in and it cranked, so she drove it home. She had no idea until she got home and we asked her about the strange car. We took the car back to the parking lot and got her’s. Looking back, if we had been stopped by the police for driving a stolen car (and it had been thought to be stolen) they never would have believed our story.

This is seriously excrement, Opal. No matter how much they love each other, games like this should not be played; they are immensely destructive. Similar to having an upsetting dream and staying mad at your partner for days. Don’t do that.

I was in the church working the rummage sale when my husband came by the parking lot and removed the dog from my van so she wouldn’t have to sit there all day. I was driving to the bank and talking to the dog when I realized that she hadn’t even said hello to me. After parking, I search the van for my 120 pound dog and panicked because I just knew she’d been stolen. You better believe my husband was in trouble for his good deed.

For New Year’s Eve, my friend texted and said he had a new game he wanted to play. I said that my wife and other friend’s wife would probably not be up for learning a new game (so he didn’t have unrealistic expectations.) I told my wife that my friend said he had a new game he wanted to try out New Year’s Eve. She said she didn’t want to learn a new game on New Year’s Eve. I said that’s what I told him. She was angry and asked me why I told that to him. I said because it’s exactly what you just said.

My wife did this in December. We talked about doing some shopping for Christmas. She took off to get some of it done. I receive a text about 2 hours later asking where I was at. she was waiting for me. I laughed and said, I’m home, where you left me. I just received a text back of the smile emoji with its tongue sticking out.

An elderly buddy of mine of had a line that he used a lot: “That is why I have a weenie, (well, he used a more colourful colloquialism) so absolutely EVERYTHING can be my fault”

But I am with Opal too…i swear that one of the mall Gremlims sneaks my keys out of my pocket, goes out to the parking lot and moves my car three or four rows over…and then returns the keys to my pocket.

Pretty sure that same Gremlin is responsible for moving the bathrooms in the mall too.
