It sounds as if Goldie has had some experience with leprechauns.

But are the leprechauns guarding a pot of gold?

They don’t bite. They actually pinch. Well, Happy Saint Patricks Week (to be early)!

That’s what happens when you start pretending to be Irish. And once you’ve got those things in the place, you’re doomed.

Goldie has done a police artist sketch from the People Kittens’ description.

Its that time of the year! In a normal year the Hillsborough River would get a healthy does of green dye but this year the festivities will be muted for obvious reasons. In a normal year, Savannah GA is a great place to go as well(In my case if the 17th falls during spring break)! That leprechaun sure does look scary, great composite police sketch by Goldie! No wonder the Girl and the Boy are scared!

Perhaps the smell of corned beef attracts them? Its not corn…it doesn’t look like beef, and my kids hate it. But I love making Hash our of the leftovers.

My beef brisket is corning away in the fridge, in anticipation of the 17th.

Love how Goldie jumps right in to this investigation – that police sketch has me worried! I’m going to wear my extra-thick anti-bitey leprechaun boots until this case gets cleared up.

Okay, guessing game time. What is under the sofa that is tiny and hairy and red and green and bitey. Now, Goldie’s drawing is from hearing the description so it’s guess work. Georgia is up to something. The only previously bitey creature was the cactus plant. Hmmm.

Bitey? Sounds more like a gremlin disguised as a leprechaun. They love to ruin the reputations of other cryptological creatures and are one of the major reasons we have cats

Ah yes, another holiday coming up that businesses will do their best to commercialize.

Well, why shouldn’t they? Good luck to them. But I still remember the bagel shop that put out a sign in early February to “order your green bagels now” for Saint Patrick’s Day. This led to some speculation on why they needed a month’s lead time to get the bagels green.

That was actually a pretty good bagel shop, but they’re out of business now.

The leprechauns refuse to share their Lucky Charms !! … :)

Is this a new Bitey Enemy?

That’s almost as scary as the illustration of a leprechaun one of my teachers showed us from a book of Irish folklore she got in Ireland. His face was contorted with malice, he had huge bulging muscles, and carried an axe that was bigger than his head.

So what experience has Goldie had with leprechauns? Enquiring minds enquire.

Are leprechaun traps like Japanese beetle traps in that they trap what you’ve got but also end up luring more to you?

Well…it is March.

They’re not being bitten; they’re being pinched. But with COVID, the leprechauns haven’t been able to get their usual manicures. The obvious solution is to start wearing green.

The cats recognize leprechauns because around this time every year the people dress them up as leprechauns in order to lure the creatures out into the open.

Leave a saucer of whisky out. When it passes out dispose of it responsibly.

Re recent report from Ms Dunn about some newspapers dropping BCN, (insert unhappy cat face here), I wrote to my local newspaper’s editor expressing my love and support of BCN.

My house has a pair of “Lepracats” one black and one orange. Both like to nibble on my fingers. They haunt under the sofa too.

Maybe our Book Store Kitten might be able to find some info about catching these bitey creatures.
