‘Pickles’ picture of Earl makes him look as though a hand is going over his left ear and a righ hand over his mouth. Very weird.

I wonder how they would handle a science fiction nerd. They could talk about Spock’s light saber and Luke’s Tardis.

Nice. I wanted to hear more. Where else would they go?

    Maybe next “abacus”?

Would they eventually get to “lunacy” and finally back to “lunula”.

And then could go through the same words again or start a new loop.

Three old mosquitos are flying along. One says, “I think its windy.” The next says, “No, I think its Thursday.” The third says, “I’m thirsty too, let’s go get a drink.”

One night when catering a party I remembered an old vaudeville routine my dad taought me.

Person 1: Do you know John Doe Person 2: Who? Person 1: John Doe Person 2: No, what’s his name? Person 1: Who? Person 2: John Doe Person 1: Never heard of him

I thought it would be fun if Larry and I (in the kitchen) would do it for Jim (serving hors d’oeuves). I told Larry that Jim would at some point mention one of the guests. I would turn to him and ask if he knew that guest. I had us rehearse.

When Jim returned from a pass, he said, “Mr. George is out there. He says Hi.”I turned to Larry and asked casually, “Do you know Mr. George?”Larry [spittake]

It wasn’t what I had planned but it was satisfying nonetheless. Don’t know if Jim ever got an explanation.

Remember chat rooms? My daughters and I would do something like this to those(usually preadolescent and pretend hackers) who popped in. Often turning steering the conversation into the surreal until whoever left.
