I always liked how during the course of that song, the fault morphed until it was his own.

Now that is the kind of full throated protest i can get behind. Atta girl Danae, keep at it – right there with you.(After you are done cleaning, that is!)

She’s a real beauty, an obstinate cutie, how she got this far, I haven’t a clue!

Wiley did a great job of using that song for Danae’s plight!

As I’ve matured, my philosophy has become “You break it—you fix it” Which also encompasses—“you make a mess—you clean it up”, “you hurt someone—you make it up to them”, etc. as needed.

Is she singing a capella or is her song being accompanied by the world’s tiniest violin?

It’s a crazy concoction that helps her hang on.

I propose a little thought experiment: how would life be different for her sister and dad, it Danae ruled the house?

I love Danae. There, I said it, loud and proud.

It’s hard being a hoarder. Everyone who wants to help, just wants to take away your stuff.

Since the song is actually about an alcoholic coming to grips with his own personal responsibility for his problems, I hope she finishes it.

Actually I appreciate Danae because, when she goes on a rant, reality eventually hits her in the brain, as it occasionally does for me and for others. I like it best when Kate is the trigger because she is subtle, but not vicious. And I appreciate Dad’s understanding of the two mentalities with which he must contest from time to time.

Irrational anthem?

Better than the original (no, I don’t mean the National Anthem).

At the moment all mandates are conditional. If you wish to do this, you must first do that.Most of modern life is conditional mandates. If you wish to drive you must first get a license. If you wish to attend a ball game you must first get a ticket.If you wish to attend public school you must first get 18-22 vaccinations.

I taught my children the phrase “question authority” Key word being question. If the answer is " because I said so" and the person answering is not your mother then keep asking questions. If the answer is reasonable and backed up with solid proof then suck it up kid

She’s so full of hot air, that room is going to break free from the house and float away…

When the vaccines became readily available and ICUs went to capacity, I proposed that a simple modification of the Triage Protocol would have an immediate effect. If you present with COVID-19 and are not inoculated, you go to the back of the line. (Subject to exceptions for legitimate medical reasons.) Otherwise, you are suffering from a self-inflicted wound (and possibly mental illness as indicated by heeding medical advice from fully-vaccinated Fox talking-heads) and not an innocent victim.

Danae could use some Changes in Attitude even if she doesn’t allow any Latitude for reasonable discussion.

She should have an “alternative sweatshirt” with Lucy’s picture on it.

Then we can tell if she’s in a good mood or a bad mood;and approach her accordingly.

Ah, you do Mr. Buffett a disservice since the actual words are “but I know, it’s my own damn fault”

If Danae and Agnes were to ever meet, they could bend reality within a week.

She should have stuck by her principles instead of caving to the man

We wouldn’t need mandates if everyone was smart enough to do the right thing. Wear masks where appropriate. Get vaccinated. Wear seatbelts. Don’t try to bring guns on into the flight cabin on airplanes. Don’t drink and drive. All common sense, all require mandates, because far too many people don’t have common sense.

She’s the poster child for the USA.

The cartoon is a metaphor. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the characters no matter how hard people try to deflect away from the artist’s making a statement about how people react to the mandates that they’re too self-centered to do on their own. It’s all about the vaccine mandates. It’s a metaphor for cryin’ out loud and yet people take the cartoon characters literally. No wonder the nation is in such sorry shape.

Lack of personal responsibility, yup, that is one of the “Leader of what once was the GOP”’s many traits….

Joes Mandates are like the Rats in the Democratic Party they seem to multiply. You want to live with this mess keep putting them in to office.
