Better start brewing the coffee now. By the morning news hour, Elvis is going to be cranky-tired.

OF COURSE the Woman is going to ask Elvis how he’s feeling instead of the little tyke in her arms!

I love how protective gruff ole Elvis is. A softie under that sandpaper exterior.

I am sure that comforting Elvis is the Woman’s highest priority.

Oooh, the Woman’s dressing gown has (fake) fur at the cuffs and collar. Snazzy!

The Girl wears socks to bed! (I do too. Cold feet prevent me from sleeping.)

Comfort and security from a mum is all she needs. She GOT it from Mum and Elvis though.

I love Elvis’s dramatic paw to the head.

I prescribe a nap for nineteen or twenty hours.

Queen Catshepsut the Golden: Aracnha and her spider friends have sent word that they have a batch of Nommy Nom Spider treats ready for us to pick up.

Beatrixia: Ooh, she said the locusts had a plague scheduled this week. I wonder if she made any butter creme flavored.

Puckmosis: Do we need the camels to go get them?

Beatrixia: Elvis-Anum, is it alright if I show Diana around the library.

Elvis-Anum: Of course. Just remember to be extra careful. We need to keep a watchful eye on what goes on.

A few minutes later

Diana: Agnes-Ata! Do you ladies come to the library very often?

Agnes-Ata: Of course. We’re just bringing these cheese baskets to the pantry for Thomios.

Sometime even later

Emma-Peelia: Were you a good filly for Bea, dear?

Diana: Yes. I got to see all the library, and saw the Royal Procurers bring cheese to Thomios.

Emma: That’s nice, dear. I’m glad the Procurers were helping out.

Hard to tell where Goldie is, I hope she’s still helping the Boy return to sleep. Elvis is not wrong, nightmares were hard waking up with the heart racing and no idea if the apparition of your dream was just a dream or hiding right around the corner, the best case scenario being going back to sleep where it could haunt you again. At least the Girl’s expression in panel four suggests she’s recovering.

OT: I haven’t been able to read the comments much these days, so I’ve missed a lot of post, but … does anyone know how piwismom is doing? It’s been a while since she’s had her surgery, and I’m hoping she’s recovering well, and that she home and comfortable!

I’m a newbie (ish) to BCN and just noticed that Goldie is a rescue…possibly a TNR (trap, neuter, release) .. who then, apparently, was adopted. I see the clip in the left ear. Oh, Goldie, how wonderful that you found your forever family! Lucky, lucky (((Goldie))). Luckier US!!!

I knew Elvis couldn’t leave his little girl in her time of need.

This is our departed Fennec as a kitten – very obviously a flamepoint. Curiously, as he got older, his points faded away till he looked like an all-white cat.

Real-life news, our Scottish Terrier girls just a day or two ago got spayed.

Nobody cares Elvis. Everyone is more concerned about the Girl.

If I was more ambitious, I could be a millionaire. I always have long, crazy dreams that play out like a movie (I even use the restroom and usually continue off where I was after going back to bed). A lot of crazy, interesting stuff at times. Stuff that could be used for new movie ideas, not the same old, same old that has been done to death.
