Metaphors and other figures of speech shouldn’t be pushed too far.

We’re sitting here in the Midwest with snow coming down. More apropos to penguins than lions or lambs,

I believe the reverse is also accurate for March weather. The winter may seem to be over at the beginning of the month, but then we get walloped towards the end. Hence, it comes like a Lamb and goes like a Lion.

The Lamb and the Lion are also used as symbols for Jesus Christ. John 1:29, Rev. 5:5
