âno commentâ is a comment. It is not the comment you expect, It is not the comment we wished we had, nor what we should have had. But it is what we have moving forward.
While thousands who either knew both individuals, or had ever seen either one in any movie or television program felt compelled to offer an opinion I felt no compulsion to listen to any of them. The media over-hypes because idiot readers/viewers/listeners want hype.
Thank you, and a good point. I did not find the event particularly interesting, whereas the overattention it received was ridiculous.
Also, I have really liked several of Will Smithâs shows and movies over the years, including Fresh Prince and Men in Black, so I feel sorry for him mentally falling apart due to that the woman he loves is sleeping around and otherwise disrespecting and treating him badly, and now a quite large part of the world is mocking him for it and his career is in shambles due to that he did something stupid when he should have been in therapy.
It must be really hard to be a stand-up comedian nowadays. So many topics are now off limits â too sensitive, too personal. Don Rickles wouldnât stand a chance. But who would have thought that making fun of a personâs medical condition would be so upsetting? Especially when the joke was alluding to a 25-year-old movie whose âwell-intentioned message is obscured by stylistic bombast and an overload of jingoism.â [Rotten Tomatoes] /s
It was about the only think of interest out of the show. I still have no idea who the main winners are. Probably because most of the nominations were for or from art films.
I could not care at all about award shown. When I first heard about it I thought Smith slapped The Rock (Dwayne Johnson). I immediately thought, and Smith is still alive?
That whole thing should NOT have been built up like it was by the media. A load of cr@p that is just the type of rubbish that the media loves for clicks and views and that the keyboard cowards/idiots get wound up about

I am doing that too by not being on FB or Twitter and I have not gotten a cent for my ârestraintâ

Well at least Will Smith got a piece of the Rock!

Thank you, Wiley. I wonât read anything that looks like âSlapâ
dflak almost 3 years ago
Rep Marjorie Greene likes the slap â violence is âlegitimate political discourseâ to any action you donât like.
But not all Republicans are of this opinion. Ted Cruz loves people who insult his wife.

We should give ourselves an award for our great commentary

At next years Oscars (if they still have them), this will be the theme of the whole show. But Monty Python did it better, with the Fish Slapping Dance

Itâs easy. Donât make fun of a manâs wife. Chivalry is wildly interpreted.

Marlee Marlin not being nominated for her role in CODA was a bigger slap in the face than what Will Smith did!

After I wondered if Dwayne âThe Rockâs Johnson had made that comment instead of Chris Rock, would W.S. have slapped him?

Itâs sad that âthe slapâ upstaged all of the Oscar nominated performances and winners. Also, that itâs still being talked about weeks later.

Itâs been noted that âslapâ spelled backwards is âpalsâ. No particular significance, as far as I can see, but Iâm kinda fond of trivia.
