Man, I wish I could monetize that!

Just when we thought we were over that, it’s back!

The slap heard around the world, social-media-speaking.

Many have way to much money for their own good.

If you’re sick of “The Slap” don’t read today’s “Pearls Before Swine”.

I am doing that too by not being on FB or Twitter and I have not gotten a cent for my ‘restraint’

Well at least Will Smith got a piece of the Rock!

Rep Marjorie Greene likes the slap – violence is “legitimate political discourse” to any action you don’t like.

But not all Republicans are of this opinion. Ted Cruz loves people who insult his wife.

“no comment” is a comment. It is not the comment you expect, It is not the comment we wished we had, nor what we should have had. But it is what we have moving forward.

Thank goodness I’m immune to celebrity. I read about it but have no memory of it.

While thousands who either knew both individuals, or had ever seen either one in any movie or television program felt compelled to offer an opinion I felt no compulsion to listen to any of them. The media over-hypes because idiot readers/viewers/listeners want hype.

Thank you, and a good point. I did not find the event particularly interesting, whereas the overattention it received was ridiculous.

Also, I have really liked several of Will Smith’s shows and movies over the years, including Fresh Prince and Men in Black, so I feel sorry for him mentally falling apart due to that the woman he loves is sleeping around and otherwise disrespecting and treating him badly, and now a quite large part of the world is mocking him for it and his career is in shambles due to that he did something stupid when he should have been in therapy.

It must be really hard to be a stand-up comedian nowadays. So many topics are now off limits — too sensitive, too personal. Don Rickles wouldn’t stand a chance. But who would have thought that making fun of a person’s medical condition would be so upsetting? Especially when the joke was alluding to a 25-year-old movie whose “well-intentioned message is obscured by stylistic bombast and an overload of jingoism.” [Rotten Tomatoes] /s

After I wondered if Dwayne ‘The Rock’s Johnson had made that comment instead of Chris Rock, would W.S. have slapped him?

It was about the only think of interest out of the show. I still have no idea who the main winners are. Probably because most of the nominations were for or from art films.

It’s sad that “the slap” upstaged all of the Oscar nominated performances and winners. Also, that it’s still being talked about weeks later.

This comic is the perfect segue from reading ‘Pearls Before Swine’ this morning!

I could not care at all about award shown. When I first heard about it I thought Smith slapped The Rock (Dwayne Johnson). I immediately thought, and Smith is still alive?

Appropriate.

It MUST BE six weeks since the Oscars. Pearls Before Swine ALSO has a similar joke today.

It’s been noted that “slap” spelled backwards is “pals”. No particular significance, as far as I can see, but I’m kinda fond of trivia.

What is the Slap?

Chris Rock said he isn’t going to talk about it until he gets paid!

That guy is stealing ideas from Gilderstern & Rosencranz over in Candorville.

I have no opinion on it, and saying that much is more than it deserves.
