Very few of the " corporate elites " are actually wealthy enough. They just spend other peoples money.
Corporations should be required to itemize all of their political donations in their annual report
Corporations should be required to get shareholder approval before making political donations and the donations should be distributed in proportion to the vote
Thing is, when/if they reach the top, there’s a slide to the ’86 basket. Pols are among the few who have desks with a half dozen waste basket nearby because they are high on recycling.
I actually worked at a “corporation” like that—Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in central FL, ‘80s—Javonovich wouldn’t let the employees in through the front door/lobby; we had to come through the back door with security guards. He tought he was greater than god and had the local pols in the palm of his hand. Last time I was in the building was some time after ol’ j had died—his initial had been removed from the logo, and the building housed about 20 employees with vines beginning to crack through the lavatory walls. . .all I could think of was “Ozymandias.”
She’s written several books. Likely where she got her million (advance and royalties). Bernie became a millionaire the same way. Perhaps unfair that only people in power or famous get these book deals but that’s capitalism.

The people protesting yesterday (burn pits bill) were moved to a location where the Senators wouldn’t have to see them as they arrived.

The one thing true about which we can all agree. The Corporate Cronyism is strongly bipartisan.
