Cheney’s off the ballot. I’m a little equivocal about how I feel about that, but mostly I’m fine with it: She’s got some backbone, but not really much else worthwhile.
There’s great competition these days in politicians offering to sell their souls. It’s a Buyers’ Market! The Devil’s customer appointment calendar is hellishly full.
Actually, a little crypto to his under-demons might get a person a bump up in queue. And the Devil’s lawyers have by now written iron-clad contracts — don’t want another of those last-minute Faust cancellations, do they?
As a Colorado native I’ve always felt a small bit of kinship with Wyoming. It grieves me that the Repubs in her district have declared they support a treasonous would-be dictator over the Constitution. Also, that the hard-working “Cowboys” of Wyoming are so enamored with a con man that hasn’t done an honest day’s work in his life.
Gotta wonder if Buttercup would have even been on a ballot for dogcatcher if he had not been rich – through no effort on his part. People seemed to equate money with intelligence when the only comparison should be his hat size and his IQ, which are identical.
It saddens me, but does not surprise me that people fail to see the irony in members of the pro-police-more-jails party screaming “If the FBI can serve a search warrant on Trump, they can do it to anyone!” Isn’t that what democracy is all about — equal treatment under the law? Now, if it had been Hillary’s house . . .
I believe that like Obi wan Kenobi, who was more dangerous to Darth Vader in death than in life, Liz will be infinitely more dangerous to Trump ostracized and out of office than she would ever have been on the inside. If it wasn’t for the threat to our Freedom and our country, this could be better watching than any scripted show on television. Be even better if I could watch it from somewhere safe, like say New Zealand, or even Mars! (Hurry up Elon!)
trump is making tons of $$$ off the uneducated and clueless idiots who also think that supporting him means go out and kill anyone who dares to interfere with their Führer.
For all of you applauding Ms. Cheney, remember this-she did NOT do what her constituents wished, she did what she wished. That is not why we elect someone, to do their own thing. They represent us, not themselves. Largest primary turnout in Wyoming history, largest margin of loss. Nuff said.

I suspect Wiley held this one back for the right occasion. Liz Chaney’s loss in the Wyoming Republican primary seems appropriate.

I have to wonder if Wiley planned today’s strip with the Wyoming primary in mind.

Be careful who defines “the right thing” and remember that the same people who define it can still defy it.
