Just for fun fact…Google Although reptiles cannot generate a fever themselves when unwell or fighting off an infection there is evidence to show that reptiles will seek out additional heat. This process termed behavioural fever will see a reptile seek out heat and raise its body temperature above its normal range.Apr 18, 2021
I have a slight fever today from the updated covid vaccine and flu shot yesterday. All worth it! I went in on Thursday – do you have the vaccine yet? Yes, we do, but we can’t give it to you yet. I haven’t had a booster since March and I need that shot. You have the shot. Go online and sign up and maybe you can get in next week. So, I went home, went online, and their website was down. I tried another pharmacy chain, got nowhere, and went back to the original one, and I was in Friday afternoon. They took care of me very quickly – I get my rx there so they know me. Rules. Have to follow them.
That said, my dog is cuddling more with me today, probably because I am a little warmer than normal. I will be fine tomorrow; fever will be gone and I will be all set to take my dog to the hospital for her therapy work.

Well, if you do get the flu, you can always give it to Jane in retaliation for all those times she clubbed you!

Funny. But I needed to work real hard to suspend disbelief on this one since turtles can’t get a fever.

Which begs the question: can a snake catch the flu from a turtle from just basking on his (apparently) overheated shell? We may never know.

Tortoises are cold blooded now. Probably they were hot in BC.
