I never paid for Twitter before… I probably will give Twitter my financial support if it continues to move towards a more open and free speech friendly platform.

Well it’s not a repeat at least.

I’m still trying to figure out how anyone is thinking Elon “needs” the $8 in order for Twitter to continue to function, rather than understanding that the $8 is for a badge to verify you are who you say you are, and not just another bot pretending to be a person. You don’t have to pay the $8 to use Twitter- that’s still free.

To me, all the talk about the $8 is simply just deflecting attention away from the fact that there were SO many fake accounts spreading misinformation… not to mention how some information was being blocked and censored. You know, “Look at the $8 charge.. pay no attention to the man behind the curtain…”

I think I’ll look for those red kettles and bell ringers instead.
