Real smooth, Anthony. (That’s -30C, right? They’d be really cold if that’s the case.)

You missed an opportunity Anthony. An arm around her shoulders would do a lot to warm her up.

Hey Anthony. Take a cue from old Hollywood romance movies. When your girl says she is feeling cold, be a gentleman and take off your jacket and wrap it around her shoulders.

Wouldn’t that be -30º? Canada went metric on temperatures in 1976.

Since when do women wear hats? A hat would mess our hair.

You ever see a character that makes you irrationally annoyed? Anthony has done nothing wrong but something about him irritates me and I can’t pinpoint why…

One winter’s day, as a highschooler, i decided that going bareheaded was a better look than wearing a watchcap…

i tried it- once. Never again!

The angst of young unrequited love. The trauma and drama of the life of a teenager. Dreaded when living it, yet looked back upon fondly in our older years.

I’m in Minnesota (or Canada South). I woke up to -9° this morning. And yes, that’s Fahrenheit. We’re expecting a -15° Thursday.

About 1963 in grade 8, when it was about -20ºF (-29ºC) I witnessed (in hindsight, obviously a PMS afflicted) teacher accosting a girl in the hallway. She had hung back and put on snow pants in the washroom precisely to avoid such harassment. The girl was a few stairs down from the top, and Mrs. Knox was at the top doing her ‘rules’ rant. I thought the world would become a better place if she fell down the stairs. Unlike her, the girl would not be going home by car. She and the people making those outrageous rules were out of touch with reality.

I love the cold. I’m 1/2 Aboriginal (Ojibwe) Canadian… but I also take an antidepressant, that raises my body temperature. (or … at least makes it feel that way.)

I’ll walk 400+ feet, to the grocery store, wearing gym shorts, gym shirt, boots w/ socks, a ball cap, and hoodie. By the time I get home, I’m sweating buckets. Even if it’s -15C. I then have to take a luke warn shower, and sit in front of a fan.

I once dated a girl who refused to zip up her coat no matter how cold it got because it wasn’t fashionable. Other than that she was actually quite smart and sensible.

Need not worry about Anthony being guilty of contributing to the teen pregnancy rate in Canada. His glasses and nerdy disposition are making sure of that. The only more effective girl repellant for Anthony is to say he is going to be a mortician when he grows up!

That temp is almost what it has been here in Northern Utah the last few days. Since they do Celsius, -30 C would be. -22 F. Right now, it is early afternoon, and it’s -7.

Went to Catholic school for grade & high school. Don’t remember any fussing about wearing pants under our skirts or snow boots as long as we took them off before homeroom.
