This is a repeat. But it’s a repeat of my favorite episode of this strip. It’s so funny that Opal doesn’t know what she’s saying. Of course Earl is going to laugh his head off as are we.

No joke, it happened. My son relates that in his university study group, a cute Asian girl was hounding some guy for his portion of their group project. Like Earl, he replied, “Just a sec” and she responded, “I’ve given you plenty of secs!” As the laughter erupted, she froze, and turned several shades of scarlet.

I hope Opal never takes up the study of religious groups. I fear she’d become a sects maniac!

There is no secs like old people secs.

I understand the aggravation of someone not doing a chore that he said he would take care of. On the other hand, clearing a drain is not a big job. It’s certainly not especially masculine. Why can’t she do it herself?

I didn’t get the joke until the last panel, when Earl was cracking up laughing. I then joined Earl in a huge belly laugh.

Earl is laughing because he can’t bear the thought of having sex with someone as awful as his wife.

She’ll get it about 2 in the morning. Then she’ll whack Earl with a pillow.

If he wants lunch, he might as well make the sink usable.

I gather she doesn’t want anything that is secondhand.
