Opal you should not said anything. Is there little light to read with. Number of times I wished had a lamp I could read when I could not sleep, husband be bother by that, so i go to living room when i cannot sleep. That does not happen all the time since husband retired.
Comments seem to bash Opal for anything at all using mostly the same words, but the Earl complainers are more specific. Not sure what that means, but I see it every day.

What does blinking sound like anyway?

How is Earl reading in the dark? Maybe it’s the noisy squinting, not the blinking, that’s keeping Opal awake.

Next he’ll be grinding his teeth and snoring.

His eyes must be white and bright enough to read at night.

Like my 2nd Ex once asked, “What’s that noise you’re making?” I yelled, “Breathing!!” He responded, “Well, stop it!”

I guess he is one of those guys that can read for chapters with his blinkers on.

IMO, if your partner blinks too loudly for you, you’re not well-suited enough to be a couple. Honestly, them divorcing would put US out of OUR misery!

I would hate to live with someone who complained about the way I blinked… you can bet that I would blink until my eyeballs fell out.
