A wonderful SPLOOSH and seeing Spud absent-mindedly walking off the pier never gets old!

Best sploosh ever!

Spud’s hair looks even weirder when wet. But the vertical SPLOOSH portrays the action perfectly.

The most massively useful thing in the universe.

A towel? Hope the Vogons are not here.

Check your pockets for fish and worse, Spud.

So, the backpack is full of towels?

I bet it’s lovely~right off the line.

Surprised the fish. They didn’t see that (Spud) coming…

Wallace is way ahead of you Spud.

Well, he did say that he was putting his foot down!

So – walking down the pier with no boat at the end and Spud assumes they’re going on an adventure?

I would have flourished with a friend like Wallace :)) I’d be the one bringing a towel for my accident prone friend..

Backpacks are handy.

First step off the dock of the year. It must be Spring.

Wallace is a true friend.

Spud finally becomes assertive, then Wallace steps up and helps a bud out.

Merging the panels into one as they walk closer to us, like in the April 27 strip. Nice! It’s sort of cinematic.

Cue for Spud to have a backpack to carry a towel. :)
