Yes! Eye rolls at any time can be very disconcerting, even more so during a power outage ! 8^ )

Honey wake up!, I can’t sleep..     so I’m not going to let you either

That’s not their usual bed headboard so they’re still at the condo. Arlo has accepted his role of a tenant. Janis, not so much.

There’s a reason, Janis. There’s. A.REASON.

I’m with Janis on this one, I cannot sleep in a strange place if I can’t see anything when I open my eyes. Need at least a bit of light in the room.

If Arlo is a “real” man then he MUST make a comment like “Shhhhh! I think someone is in the room!” And then roll over and go back to sleep.

Come on Arlo, get up and check for monsters under the bed. Monsters love power outages!

If they’re still on the Gulf Coast and the power stays out, he’ll be getting out from under the blanket real soon.

Moe Howard “Wake up and go to sleep.”

When the power goes out, the Uninterruptible Power Supplies go “Eep!” and Sheela freaks. I have to get up and shut them off, as you can’t override the Eep’r.

If I can’t here the sound of my fan over night I know the power went out. Can’t stand stillness and the darkness. Creeps me out.

Yesterday we got an email from our electric company (which I retired from five years ago) apologizing for the power outage a couple days before. Hmm… none of the usual clocks had to be reset.

Strange apology accepted, but I bet if I report an outage the company doesn’t know where I am getting my power. My not-so-beloved company provides power from either of two directions, controlled by the switch box I see out my front window. I know it well; it was one of my problem children in the smart grid system I maintained before bailing. It nominally selects the seemingly better source within three seconds.

She said, while rolling her eyes… ☺

Some people thrive on drama and go out of their way to look for it. They are happier when they find it, regardless of how ridiculous it is. Even Janis knows how ridiculous she sounds by stating she can “hear” Arlo rolling his eyes…I think he has a lot of practice at this.

My Generac is not to far from my bedroom, so I hear it kick in. Its the dam-n fridge that has a power fail alert and won’t shut up until I cancel it

My sister-in-law woke in the middle of the night when power went out (the street lights shine into their bedroom) and woke her husband up because she thought she’d gone blind.

Remember, she just learned about nesting alligators yesterday.

If you’re lucky and the outage lasts a bit longer, you’ll experience waking up by natural light.

So who’s minding the cat? Should have taken him with them. See what he thinks of the place.

My mom always used to tell me, quit rolling your eyes at me, even when she wasn’t looking at me. Knew me too well.

I actually saved the world some energy yesterday. I saw a whole row of electric cars with no one using them… so I unplugged them all.

Is this a repeat? For some reason I remember this one.

This means she can also understand why he’s rolling his eyes.

Now THAT is QUIET.

Man, with my hearing, when the power goes out it is a blissfull silence. I mean when we light the oil lamps, I can hear the gurgling of the oil being drawn up into the wick. I can actually hear the current of electricity flowing in the lines no matter the place I am. It is a cacophony every day for me. So when the power is out, I am just so happy for the silence.
