The last panel reminds me of the 2022 Apple TV+ musical film, Spirited. The song “Good afternoon” talks about how Scrooge used “Good afternoon” to basically kick the solicitors out of his office: "It’s like “p*** off” but with a little touch of class"

I take it she just wants the Dick to come by, alone. What nefariousness might she have planned ?  I really doubt that will be the case as Owen is witness to Tracy being asked to come by her private residence. It’s either a bad case set up or a setting for Dick to get some meat on the so far, only ‘bones’ of this investigation.

She makes a good point; how can Tracy expect to get any useful information over the noise of plates, silverware and table-top conversations going on around them? What was the guy who invited him to dinner thinking?

Something was bothering me yesterday about the scenes, and today I figured out what it was – why did neither gentleman stand when greeting the lady. Granted she is possibly a perp and rude to a “T” but am I so out of touch that men don’t rise when a lady comes to their table to speak with them?
