Sir Mix-A-Lot?

I hate to do this to the guy because I really do find his music relaxing, but here goes…, “Or anything from Kenny G”.

Was wondering if Brutus has a Muzak system set up in his house to listen to.

I’ve always loved the elevator tune in Blues Brothers.

I once heard a Muzak version of Pink Floyd’s, ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ in a Kmart. It ruined my day!

Elevator music. Planting ear worms since the 1930’s.

I know this feeling well…

The first time I heard the Beatles in an elevator, I knew I was old. And that was about 40 years ago.

That’s often the way it is, Brutus, if you’re lucky to have any elevator music at all. Most elevators I’ve been in, lately, are all rather quiet affairs. But, they are fast.

Someone let me know when Kid Rock makes it to elevator music.

I’m waiting for Aerosmith Muzak.

you say that like its a bad thing. it’s better than a lot of what is called music these days, I don’t want to be forced to listen to it in an elevator.

I’ve never been in an elevator that had music.

I tuned into the local oldies station as I was going to the grocery store. The oldies were from the ’90’s and the cacophony was atrocious.

And that was Helter Skelter, by The New Christie Minsteral.

I can live with that Brutus. Hopefully, I won’t be around when todays popular music gets turned into elevator music.

I knew things were different when I heard the full Led Zeppelin Immigrant Song in the supermarket. Hard to imagine a Muzak version in an elevator.

don’t complain about it… just don’t tell your boss on why your late when you were jamming along with it in the elevator. ;)

Just so it’s not “Stairway to Heaven” yet!

Any music is great music if you’re deaf. Louder please, louder.

This is a new side of Brutus…hmmmmmmm!

Sad but true. Beatles music is all the rage in elevators today.Just shows that many of us are getting into that group. He’s in good company…..

Yeah, The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again” just doesn’t have the same punch… ㋛

Minsteral, Minstels, Ministrals, Ministerels. Oh never mind.

I feel this. Not so long ago, “Love Shack” was playing in Trader Joe’s.

I feel you Brutus. What we called heavy metal back in the 80s is being played on easy listening stations now.

So true! Not to mention the irony of hearing a Muzak version of the Who’s My Generation in a CVS. NO!!! I don’t hope I die before I get old(er)!!!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with introducing good music to the younger generation.

Greg Kihn from the Greg Kihn Band was the morning DJ in bay area classic rock station. I made his day when I told him I heard his song Jeopardy in Von’s.

Well, what do you know, Brutus went to college, Ivy League no doubt.

Elevator music is too new for my generation. An ‘oldies’ dance has music from the 70s to the 90s. Stuff that is too new recognize. I will admit I knew a few bands – maybe 3 or 4 – from in that era [ courtesy of MTV] but then they stopped playing videos and went to other programing. Haven’t watched it since. Is it still even broadcasting??

Always found it interesting listening to the twists new generations of musicians create when covering songs from “the past.”

I am not surprised Brutus went to college, but I am entirely shocked that he partied! With music! This is a whole new side of Brutus.
