Conversation I had today: Me: I would like to buy [$50 item]. Wife: okay, and I would like to buy [$500 item.]

Some people still read news in non-electronic form.

Local daily paper in (name your town) now costs $3.50 at the store, $4.50 on Sundays. That’s about $110 a month,and over $1,300 a year. Or has Earl forgotten that, too?

Sometimes, when I am in a hurry, I see the name of the listed product but don’t read the entire description of contents, so I get the wrong version. Sometimes that turns out OK but mostly not.

Every time I go to the store it seems like I forget something!

The major thing we’re using the paper for these days is to house-train our three little puppies…

I’ve had days like that. Buying a newspaper is a treat for me now.

Our daily is a dollar. Dollar and half, Saturdays. Glad to have it. They published my comic July First!!

I get mine online, easier. As to shopping list, I got it on my phone and I still forget stuff. Think I got everything and don’t look again till I get home!!

Substitute Del Taco Sauce for paper and that was over over the past two days. Finally got it yesterday.

No newspapers in my area.

The only paper I get is delivered to my mailbox once a week. The Epoch Times.

As long as you got everything on the list you’re good. Too tired to read the paper anyway, get it tomorrow.

I’m surprised Opal trusts Earl to get everything on the list. That’s not the Opal I know from reading this strip.

I’m SPEECHLESS

After 20 years of taking a local paper, I stopped its delivery—not because of the rising costs but the ever-increasing non-deliveries I endured. In my last month of subscribing, there were 12 non-deliveries. My wife loved the crossword puzzles and I enjoyed leisurely reading the paper that had dwindled in content. At least I no longer trudge up to the road and search for the morning’s paper.

Get a digital subscription it’s much cheaper

People should go digital. Mine is $10 a month and you can print out the games you play.

Our paper, which used to be a daily, was 50 cents. Just for old time’s sake I was gonna buy one the other day…4 bucks. Think I’ll pass!

Our daily paper (Mercury News) is $3.00 (plus tax) per day. But I buy it at one of those dispensers in a strip mall where the price is $2.00. They haven’t changed the price in the dispenser for over 3 years!

I stopped getting ours (The Newsless Worrier) when it hit 2 bucks.

We all get there some day. I never forget anything I remember. I sometimes forget what I remember too.

Happens to me all the time. Go down to pick up a half gallon of milk and when I get home? No milk.

I just did this very thing on Monday! I tried to squeeze in a trip to the store before a meeting, to buy a few things, but one thing in particular. I got the other items, as well as a few other things not on the list, but forgot to get the one item I specifically decided to go to the store for.
