Hobbes can rule out a career as a professional poker player.

I’m not sure about tigers, but for cats, a waving tail is a sign of aggression, not happiness as for dogs. Of course, either might make Calvin apprehensive.

In Vegas, that is what is known as a “tell”.

I’ve heard it said that, in stud poker, average players play their own cards, good players play the other players’ cards, and the best players play the other players.

Hobbes’ tail has a life of it’s own.

Who would teach a 6-year old to play poker?

Was it a straight or a flush that you missed? Or both???

My cat would twitch the tip of his tail as a sign of annoyance. You could almost hear him: “Watch it…watch it..”

I don’t see how Calvin could even have a good hand in the first place, considering that he isn’t playing with a full deck…

The author of “The Other Coast” comic had a book of dog cartoons called “Tails Don’t Lie”. Not sure if it applies to tigers.

I love Hobbes’s flipping tail in the third panel. It always fascinates me how cats can move their tails.

This is one I didn’t understand as a kid, and now it cracks me up.

My sister’s cat was sitting on a tree branch and the cat was swishing her tail as the birds were chirping loudly in the other branches. The cat was looking for the nest.
