Hopefully something from the Bunny-wunny series will be acceptable.

If not, perhaps Snoopy’s “Dark and Stormy Night” manuscript?

Just watch “A Tale of Two Cities” when it comes on TV, Peppermint Patty. Just ignore the bits about the shampoo, coffee, etc. as those aren’t part of the movie.

And they only get about 2 weeks off. Here in Europe it’s often 3. Our “Christmas break” starts on 22 Dec and school doesn’t start again till 7 Jan.

You make that sound like a bad thing! Reading is wonderful if you can choose the book. It’s when they choose it for you and it’s some boring thing, that’s when it’s a problem.

My brother was on the high school swim team. Everyone on the team was overweight, and the coach told everyone to lose weight over Christmas break. My brother was the only one who actually lost weight over the holidays.

I got Kurt Vonnegut Jr.‘s "Cat’s Cradle" for Christmas one year. I read that in two days. Just a suggestion, Patty.

Giving homework over holidays, what a way to ruin the holidays. One of my son’s teachers always gave a homework assignment over the holidays. I was very glad when the school year was over and the holiday homework assignments were over and done with.

3rd Grade. For the Christmas break I checked out and read the Spirit of St Louis. That was the book the librarian called my mom and asked about the books I was checking out. Mom told her if I wanted to read it, let him!
