When it comes to the beauty of snow, I take the attitude that this is why God invented the camera.

Everything is in relation to other stuff. White Christmas relates to the songs and the fantasy… and the reality. Non-Christmas snow relates to commuting and shoveling the sidewalk and paying the heating bills. People ARE consistent, but it’s not a simple thing to figure out WHY that’s true.

Like, I like get it.

She wasn’t consistent herself in what/who she was talking about. First it was “everybody”, then it was “a whole lot of people”, and finally it was just “people”.

Consistency is important in areas like science. Take a scientific experiment. Protocols and procedures must be consistent in order to evaluate the outcome.

I still love the snow and don’t mind shoveling. Maybe that’ll change when I hit 70. But for now, I have a ski trip planned with my son — if we get enough snow.

I’ll admit snow has its photogenic charms. Tho, not many..

Frazz is enigmatic today.

Not me. You stop wanting a white Christmas when you realize that it’s a day when a lot of people are driving who almost never drive.

No snow or ice here, not even very cold, so I have no excuse for not walking the dogs.

I do like to look out my window and see the snow up in the San Gabriel Mountains—and glad it is no lower.

Those people were not owners of ski resorts.

Yah know… plenty of us live in the snow because we enjoy winter. Everyone saying that 4 inches of rain last week was better than 4 feet of snow… I disagree.

.. though I respect their right to feel that way.

However… I’m some sick and tired of getting sH#% on by people because of it.

Not everyone who lives where there is winter is a moron… why do you insist otherwise?

We got a frost yesterday. If one stretches things, that may qualify as white.

Oh the hobgoblin!

Snow is a lovely thing in December for many, when it sticks around longer than that, people seem to get tired of it.

What else is new?

I don’t know. “I want the thing but I don’t want to deal with the consequences of having it” is a pretty consistent trend with people.

There’s snow business like snow business like snow business I know ….

If it’s consistently inconsistent… It may still not be normal, but the sentiment is pretty human.

Likely story.

Snow’s fine when you’re at home for at least a couple days and don’t have to leave the house. Otherwise, rather less fine.

Winter loses much of its allure once the holidays are over!

The only White Christmas I want comes from Bing.

I like winter except when I have to be out in it…
