Whereas this conversation would be called “more boring than watching paint dry” in any age. In the meantime, Jfff, maybe you should be paying attention to what your grandson is doing.
There stone age komix, bronze age komix, gold age komix, seelver age komix, and then finally old age komix. Ha ha ha ha. Waits what? He no go for old age joke today?
And in this, the “Sew Age” of komix (thanks wherescrankshaft for that term), the time-traveling villain would obviously be known as TimeMop®, the Rather Elegant Solution™!
I assume because modern kids don’t use clocks or watches (they look at phone) and don’t know enough language to know what allegorical names mean (like “Chronos” implying time is involved).
While grandparents babysitting their grandchildren isn’t unusual, it does make me wonder.
Where are Max and Hannah? Are they managing the Valentine Theater? Are they doing their jobs at Channel One? Or are they following Darrell and Jessica’s example, and making out in Max’s boyhood bedroom?
This is so “old man yells at cloud” it hurts. As someone who reads comics every week this is just baffling. Chronos.. is a name that would work just as well now as it would’ve back then. It’s a simple one word that evokes what the villian is and how big a threat he is. Most villian names nowadays tend to be either one or two word or a fun pun like the old days, just a more modern one.
It’s also annoying as .. Bautik could just.. spend the week waxing about how much he loves the atom. That’s it. Ray Palmer is neat and the silver age atom is something I don’t know much about. YOu could make plenty of jokes baout size, his rogues gallery etc. Instead your complaning about a medium you don’t understand. Even when I disagree with other creators choices on here.. I can still repsect them. But I can’t respect trashing a medium constantly that you refuse to engage with in the now.
What’s up with the white patch on top of Dead Skunkhead’s head in the first panel? Is it really supposed to be white or did the colorist forget to make it flesh-colored?
If it’s supposed to be white, can we start calling him “Donut Head”?

I would think that during the Golden Age he would be Chronos. During the Silver Age he would be the clock.

Actually, Chronos dumped The Atom for Ted Kord’s BLUE BEETLE.Those two REALLY hated each other.

Actually Ray Palmer had a foe who called himself Chronos, and, Batman (and, others I believe, ) fought a Clock King is the “silver age.”

No doubt the wall of intriguing words in the first panel alone would hook any casual reader into becoming a regular Crankshaft aficionado.
