    They are many of them. They can’t keep workers because the pay is so bad. Plus, they expect one person to do 3 jobs.

    Much of rural western New York is a food desert, not even a Big M or an IGA for the small villages. But I swear there must be a dollar store in every single town.

    I bought something for $4.50 and gave the store clerk a five. Instead of giving me back two quarters he ripped a dollar in half and handed it to me.

    There was no cents to that.

    Here in the UK we have The Pound Shop and Poundstretchers. I understand that pounds are also currency in Egypt, Syria and Cyprus.

    In Texas, you can drive for miles on back roads, and all of a sudden, in the middle of nowhere, is a Dollar General.

    We have a 4-way stop, in the middle of nowhere. There are 5 houses and a barn, or was. Now, there is 5 houses, a barn, and a Dollar Store.
