45 and still just as ignorant. That’s like asking why World War 1 was named that since World War 2 hadn’t happened yet, did they expect another war? It was called the Great War until the next one came along and was even worse. Try to use that tiny little thing in your head Norman!
Kinda looks like Norman FINALLY learned how to tie his shoes. Better late than never, all though it would have been HILARIOUS if they would have drawn in that his shoes were STILL untied.
World War One was called “The Great War” (and “The War to End All Wars”). I didn’t, and eventually they had to rename the Great War after World War Two came along.
Congrats on 45 years and all that stuff! If it wasn’t for newspapers, I would not be reading this comic strip today!!! Thank you local newspaper for putting this comic strip into the comic section!!!

While the Hundred Years War lasted 116 years (including truces), the Thirty Years War actually lasted exactly 30 years!

Not a good explanation of the cause of the war, either.

Near the start of the Thirty Years’ War, an agreement was made that whoever was judged to be ahead after thirty years would be declared the winner

CONGRATULATIONS in REACHING YOUR MILESTONE, KEVIN! 45 YEARS OF DRABBLE!
1JennyJenkins 11 months ago
Forty-five years of Drabble, not Norman’s age, if one does the math…
Norman was already a certain age when the strip began, and then he aged, some, over those forty-five years…
I’d say that today Norman is older than his parents, as they haven’t aged at all…….

If Drabble is 45 years old, then why does GoComics keep taking me to January 11th, 1990 when I press the “first comic” button?
This is a rhetorical question. We all know why.
