Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Nothing unusual about announcing on social media youâll be taking a break from social media. People who follow you might get concerned by your absence if they didnât know you were taking a break.
Since I was so far REMOVED from âsocial media,â while talking to a couple(2) of individuals, that I completely forgot what it was called when you post ANYTHING in the âinternet,â I guess my âsugarâ metaphorical intake is NIL!!!! Dan akaâŠpsâŠ(apparently, for an insanely LONG timeâŠ)
Actually, announcing a break makes sense if you have people who expect to see you online daily. Itâs fair to let them know why they wonât see you for awhile. Who knows, some might even worry if you just disappear.
If you donât make a post saying you wonât be making anymore posts, your phone will soon blow up.However, if you make a post saying you are leaving a group, then stick around to see if anyone begs you to stay, you are a bit of a joke
I think itâs fair to post a break announcement. Depends on how engaged the person is on the platform and how many people might be alarmed at sudden radio silence.
I quit Facebook. It takes a month from the time you request your account deleted and when the account is actually deleted. My last post was to my few Facebook "friends"â that I was cancelling Facebook, so when I disappear from their friends list, that is the reason⊠it is not that I unfriended them.
When people feel the need to post on social media that theyâre taking a break from it, or post to âapologizeâ for having been away, you can tell theyâre feeding their narcissistic tendencies.

If he also said, âThis will be my last donut,â it would actually be a more dramatic way to renounce sugar.

I was going to take a break from Facebook, but then I realized Iâm not even on it.

Franklin said it best: âFoolsâ names and foolsâ faces oft appear in public placesâ.I think that captures Facebook perfectly.

I often take 30-60 day breaks from all social media websites, but on the Messenger app I keep in touch with those who want to talk to me.

Iâm sure he prefaced it with something like, â..thisâll be my last post for a while,â dorky Rat. Think.

If neighbour Bob needed advice, he wouldâve gone over to the wise @$$ on the hill.

Do comments sections count as Social Media? Asking for a friend.
Ellis97 9 months ago
I donât really use social media. I just have those accounts to look at pictures and read articles.

The ONLY way to take a rest from social media is NOT TO POST on social media.

Itâs not an airport. You donât need to announce your departure.

Anyone who posts âIâm taking a break from social mediaâ is going to check it at least 50 times a day to see how people are reacting. Guaranteed.

Most people think they live in an airport and have to announce their departure from social media

Dang, based on yesterdayâs strip, I was hoping for a Croc story arc. Oh well, Iâm not even sure Pastis does story arcs anymore.

I guess Rat doesnât appreciate announcements to let people know you havenât dropped off the face of the Earth. FYI, the last panel is redundant.

Ratâs gotta point there!

If anyone cares, yes, Cartoon Boy did split the infinitive on Ratâs last comment. Bad in Latin; fine in English.
