Meta question for GoComics Premium members. All day, I have been seeing a large gray box at the top of a strip when opened. I’m on Firefox for Windows Desktop. I suspect it’s supposed to hold an ad, but as we don’t get them it’s just a blank eating up 1/4 of the screen for several seconds. Anyone else experiencing this?

One change I’ve noticed since the gray bar appeared is that I can slide the page horizontally so I can now zoom in and enlarge the screen to a more comfortable viewing experience without losing the bell with the red notifications icon. Before, I’d have to zoom in to get to the notifications link, click to get to the replies, then zoom back out so I could read the text.

Is this the same bureau/chest of drawers where Sophie found Lady Jane’s journal?

I want to thank everyone for your kind comments, I can deal with change when it’s something I can control. When it’s out of my hands and I am at someone else’s mercies, I am uncomfortable. The 1st being a Saturday means, if he is any kind of non-secular Jew, I won’t see him until after sundown or on Sunday. I suppose my biggest fear is having my lease voided and a huge rent increase. I will do my best to make myself useful to him like always, and the hope that he will see that I will save him money in the long run and increase the value of his investment. To go through this twice in less than 8 months is ridiculous, I mean, barb’s anxiety is my anxiety, moving is hard on her because of her MS. last time we moved was 150 feet to a different building and I did all the work, and I was 45.

No gray bar on a Mac, running NoScript and Ghostery. It did show up yesterday, but lasted only about a second or less. Haven’t seen it today.

I have it. There was an ad for a Calvin and Hobbs collection but that disappeared when I clicked the X in the corner, leaving the dark grey box.

Oops loves his “cave” under the bed. It’s his go to when sounds are happening that I can’t comfort him for.

Reunited and it feels so good!

If only that monstrous grey block on the top wents away. But alas.

Our cat prefers to go under the covers of the bed in the master bedroom. She’s always there when invaders come.
