When my children left fingerprints on walls, doors and windows. I left them there. When they grow up, you will wish you did because that is all you have left of them as children. I also still have the marks on the door frame where they were measured as they grew. My daughter keeps telling me to paint over them. No way !! This from the daughter who still has her Cabbage Patch doll on a shelf in her bedroom and she has her own home and is 43 years old.
She’s gonna need a monocle, a beret, and a sign that says meet the artist. Oh yes and those red rope- post things that make the place look fancy, special.. or something.
Go, Wren! I did the same thing, although I confined mine to the bathroom. The walls were plain boring white in there. I have a sister who’s 15 years older than am I, and she got a confession out of me with no effort at all. Devious trickery, perhaps, but no effort. “Oh!” she said. “Who made all these lovely pictures on the bathroom wall?” Yep, I proudly owned up to my artwork. Oooops!
My dad marked his bathroom wall how much he was losing height. It was the house I grew up in, but we had to sell it after he died. I did take pictures, though. Also pix of the kitchen cabinets, and all the other things he made when we had the house built in 1963. I was able to keep the dressers he made for him and Mom, my dressers, and cedar chest
I love the atmosphere on here of a little kid being a bit mischivous, on FBOW everyone wants April gone or CPS called on her parents when she does something because as they claim “Nobody ever watches that brat”. It is so nice to see parents that have had children that understand that you can’t keep an eye on your children 24/7 and that they do get into things occasionally.

Wren’s been very busy!

We solved that problem by getting our daughter an easel to paint on. She never tried to use the walls after that.

That’s how Banksey, if that’s the graffiti guy, started. He might be pleased with that work now.

Even though it’s a mess, Wrens drawings are cute.

Someone would pay good money for a Wren M original like this!

That’s what happens when you don’t keep a close enough eye on them and keep them supplied with paper.

Wanda, word to the wise, always go pee before you let wren finger paint. That two minutes you were gone was all it took.

Looks like poor Darryl’s Memorial Day (20240527) was spent at the office!

Some people pay to have borders painted on their walls—usually up near the ceiling, though.

Just deduct the cost of repainting from Wren’s future allowance, if any is left from his other artistic “ventures.”
