I’m believing more and more, God loves us. But we’ve been on the earth for a long time and so, like a good parent, steps a side and lets us makes mistakes so we can grow. As a society we’re not two maybe in our late 20s early 30s.
Sure thing. And when crap happens, it’s all god’s plan? Not very compassionate, IMHO. Unless it’s an act of retribution. Will he be our retribution for folks who wrong us?
Is this one of those instances where the word ‘badly’ is misused? Will Rat mess up Pigs’ life incorrectly or will Pigs’ life be messed in so it’s not a good life? This one always confuses me.
God is not the source of evil. Our rebellion against him is.
God is morally perfect.
Does he allow evil? Yes. And we don’t like it. But if he were to judge evil, we would not make the grade because of our rebellion. We are guilty before a holy God. We think that our standards are better than his. He is patient – giving us time to repent from our rebellion. None of our good works will save us from judgment. Only trusting in the completed and atoning work on Jesus on the cross and in his resurrection can we be forgiven from our sin.
Additionally, we don’t know his purpose in allowing evil to continue. But the burden of proof is too high for those who say that he does not allow it for some good reason.

Don’t be part of God’s plan. He has really deep anger management issues and is a serious sociopath, not to mention being a terribly needy narcissist.
