How many more times are we going to have to suffer through A&J having the same stupid, unfunny conversation?
Move or don’t, nobody cares, let’s just get back to this being a COMIC strip.
Thankfully Jimmy wasn’t in charge of the planning and execution of D-Day. Jimmy can’t get two cartoon characters to move a couple hundred miles with just one truckload of stuff. Hitler would still have blown his brains out, but it would have because of sheer boredom.
There is a lot to be said for a carefree life with no clocks to punch, flower gardens to work in if you want to, no worries, no stress, o cafe to slave away in. The kids are a nice place to visit but this sounds like drudgery to me, something that could ruin retirement that they have worked for all their lives. I would book a plane home if it were me and I would stay there.
I like to read my comics in order, starting with my favorite and working down the list of a dozen. Today I decided to demote Arlo; I find this overlong theme is boring.
The Hot Tub at home is visible to the neighbors, The Hot Tub here is secluded. But you can always seclude the Hot Tub at home. One option is the kids might eventually have a baby; I think that Arlo & Janis would love to be close to the newborn. I guess I would choose to be close to the kids, I know how lucky I am with mine.
Darn straight. A memorable night in a hot tub with your hottie wife… Any decisions based on the intent of making more memories like that cannot be bad decisions.
In my mind, given Janis’s comment, when someone says “I hope we’re making the right decision,” maybe, they should step back, go home, and think about it a little more. Impulse decisions don’t always work for the best. If they sell, buy a place, there, then, realize later, they never should have moved, they’ve lost their original house (unless they lease it out), and have to start over… again.

Newspaper readers across America won’t soon forget either. Nice detail – the bird tracing a line on the water in panel 1

I sure won’t and I wasn’t even there!

Not for me, alligators, storms, spiders, and other nasty creatures.

I won’t forget it.

Hey Arlo, how’s Ludi doing?

He is recalling the ‘buoyancy’ of Janis’s ‘position’ on the house-hunting.

Is that a wall or a tidal wave?

Janis’ crossed-arms means she’s overwhelmed or deeply concerned about a problem. Second thoughts?

The ‘hard-core hot tub fun time’ was a one-time thing. It’s never quite the same when you try to relive it.

The hardest part of making a move like this is actually making the decision!

It didn’t sound so decisive in the last week or two, as more reality was added.

You can get a hot tub at home (and screen it from prying eyes) cheaper than you can move.

Move or don’t move, just do something about the whole situation.
