Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Will the clock have a laser beam that issues from somewhere on its face ? Â Maybe weâre being lead down a path and that the man in here is an authorized worker who takes a bit of sinister delight in a perfectly harmless everyday task.
This is actually an effective introductory strip for a new story. Unfortunately we had to slog through a whole week of elementary school film-strip level strips to get to it.
On a serious note, todayâs First Responders Roll of Honors brought back memories of that tragedy a year ago. Firefighters Acabou & Brooks were true heroes. May they rest in peace.
âOh sure, the place sits vacant for years. But as soon as I build a madmanâs lair and laboratory on my own dime then itâs all âtime for redevelopmentâ with a bunch of tax dollars! Hardly worth being an evil genius anymore. No respect at all.â
Isnât this going to arouse suspicion? A working clock in a building undergoing a face lift? Odds are that will be some developers involved. Somebody will get greedy. That person will be snuffed out or bought off.
Day 7: One full week with no plot or logic holes. We have a central location for the upcoming action firmly in place, and a sense of gentrification going on in the area. Weâve now glimpsed a portion of a person who will enter into the story. While weâve still no sense of what crime will bring Tracy into the story the clock fixation of todayâs guest hand will very likely play into the story in some way.
Feels a little odd to have an entire week with nothing to complain about. Iâve enjoyed the slow build, but Iâm getting a bit nervous. How long can the logic continue? At what point will the criminal pull a rabbit from his rear end, announce he is a Nigerian prince and is there to steal all the marshmallows in Tracyville?
âAnd THEN, my mindless golem, I shall rule the world! MY GREATEST AMBITION! But first, Iâll just pop in a TV Dinner. Stoogesâll be on in five minutes!â
(sudden thought) I shall call you NYUK! And then, when I forge a fearsome twin brother for you, Iâll have NYUK NYUK!!"
1-:Tracyville Prisonâs broken clock serves to remind felons that time stands still for anyone sentenced within its wallsâŚ
2-:âŚWell, it would if the prisoners could see the clock from their cells and understood the metaphorâŚ
3-:âŚThey are however able to see the sign outside the prison yard and giggle about the âtwo foxesâ who are âcoming soonâ.
4-: MEANWHILEâŚ
5-: The warden said I could get time off my sentence if I fix the time! Thereâs a poetic justice in that somewhere⌠I think Iâll just make myself a shiv instead though.
Given the little box that says, âOpening next monthâ I guess we have another week of this snooze fest, while Costello tries to think of a plot. Then things will get even more boring.
âHolyyyyyyyyyy HOROLOGY, all you Happy Hyper Hipsters and Super Swell Swingers out there in Terrific Tracy Town! Thereâs a new place for Sheer, Sharp Shopping being set to open soon! But thereâs a Much Mysterious Man working on something thatâs Maybe Mainly Menacing inside the Clearly Clandestine Clock tower room! Your Definitely Delightful Deejay, JPuzzle The Whiz, is Weirdly, Wildly Wondering just what that Craftily Chronological Crook is up to! Meanwhile, Iâve got some Pleasingly Pleasant Platters to play for you on the Big, Bold BMBG turntable!â

Good morningâ˘, everyone!
So it begins. Whatâs he bringing to life? It sounds ominous. I really like the foxes logo, apparently based on the graphics on the old clock.

Iâm not used to a week-long setup like this, from a daily comic strip. A comic book, yes, but not a daily.
But, I gotta say, I like it. Iâm curious enough to see what the next day has to offer.
