Tracy and Sam have the look of men working well together. You can feel the chemistry based on how they look. Sam’s P.1. hair looks like a wing folded back.
Well, Tracy is raising the same issues that commenters here raised yesterday, thinking it was a screw-up. So it was intentional, at least.
The really puzzling thing is that the phone in the image looks like the smartphone it’s on, not the flip phone in his other hand. The whole thing looks very weird, which I like. It’s more interesting than most of the Minute Mysteries, at least. The question is whether they will manage to resolve it in a satisfactory way.
Someone said that selfies are always mirror images. Well, it depends on the camera settings. Usually, the image shown on the screen while taking the selfie is a mirror image, because that’s how we’re accustomed to seeing ourselves, but there is a setting to decide whether to store the reflected image (which is usually the default), or to store it unreflected. Note also that video conferencing systems like Zoom tend to show your own image reflected, but all the others unreflected.
A friend had a mirror in his hallway that actually was two mirrors at right angles to each other. When looking at it, the reflection was not reversed like usual. It was really unnerving to look at. I sure wouldn’t use it to shave.
How do you determine if the picture has anything to do with the murder? If it is background picture it is his brother (I use my daughters for background screen.) Is it a shot in his photo album? Jay is of an age where most of us take a minute just to find the camera app on our phone… And another minute to remember how to work it. He really had the time to do that when someone came at him with a gun?
Check the date stamp on the photo, if it’s a photo.
It’s interesting. The shirts button the same way, so it isn’t a mirror image. But the image shows the phone in his right hand, while the phone is actually in his left.
Maybe the image was staged by the victim and a “friend”, who passed back the phone — and then shot him.
It does appear that “Team Tracy” got themselves tangled up in this “mirror image on a selfie” business. If, as Sam says, the selfie is a mirror image, then wouldn’t the hand holding the smart phone appear to be the right hand in the selfie image? And anyway, having established that it is an unintentional selfie of the victim, why do they need to scrounge around for a mirror to look at it? Just look at the victim.
Given that close to a week of strip time has been devoted to these dopey phones in this “Minute Mystery”, the phones had better play a key role in the solution.

Tracy has a freaky chin. Looks like it could chop a tree down.

That chin looks more like Fearless Fosdick’s.

Hopefully Ray and his wife are OK, hopefully the tornados forecasted after it doesn’t eventuate.
Was looking up The Villages yesterday, and yeah, the path was steam rollin’ over them.

Sam would agree this is a real head-scratcher. Time for some detective work!

I’m wondering if the “doorway” we saw Jay enter on Sunday could have been a full-length mirror instead.

AHA! Did MKM see our issues with the “selfie” and quickly address it or was this part of the plot all along?!!? (I’m guessing the former)
