Who is the old lady Dave is having breakfast with, his mom? His mother-in-law?
I can’t think of any older folks in my circle who claim to be vegans. At our age, our diets are dictated more by what our stomachs will allow or refuse rather than social/political fads. Sadly, I’ve had to give up many things I used to enjoy because my stomach won’t put up with them any more…
If you ask meat eaters why their lives are worth more than all the animals’ combined, they might mention souls, but they’ll probably get around to bringing up intelligence. If you ask vegetarians why it’s OK for many animals to eat meat, they too will probably blame lower intelligence. So in one sense, we’re in agreement.

Why do so many Earthlings think they know what the inhabitants of the Vega Star System think of as high cuisine?
