As someone who often has bad hair days, I can relate to the latter part of this altercation heavily. (Oh, yeah, and I suppose the rest of it, since I worked retail for three years and three quarters.)

The one barista in The Count’s local Starbucks has orange hair, think glasses, unshaven armpits and funny teeth. She also wears so many rainbow pins, badges and patches that The Count thinks she/it is trying to tell people something. Esp the female ladies.

I try not to interrupt service people’s phone scrolling by actually wanting some service, but sometimes you just can’t help it!

It’s like Pastis is a mind reader or something!

Is it REALLY that hard to find good employees in this economy? No matter the pay.
