Last time we went to the movies, there were previews for about 15 different movies. One of those sounded like something I would like to see. From now on, going to arrive late so I don’t have to sit through ads for movies I wouldn’t want to see anyway.
Isn’t that the truth? When I was a kid they showed one, maybe two, of the upcoming attractions. Now, with multiple screens they have to show what is going to be coming to all the screens. Also, now the sound is WAY too loud. When my wife and I went to see Ford vs. Ferrari we took foam earplugs.
This is why, on the rare occasions I do still go to the cinema, I make sure to get an assigned seat and then show up 15 minutes late. I’ve generally found that this is a good time to ensure there are only a few previews left.
Many, many years ago, I made such a fuss about this that wife said she would never go to another movie with me. We have never been to another movie, and neither one of us miss it at all! I did not pay to see ads, I paid to see the movie!! Also, stop letting people in AFTER the movie starts. I had to put up with these morons interrupting so theater could get their money.
Truth! I’ve gotten in the habit of getting there about 15 minutes after “starting” time. They’re usually still running previews or just starting the feature I came to see.

The best scenes are in the previews, now no need to watch the whole movie

Wonder if any sequel has ever been as good as the original? Yes, I know some have become very popular, but as good as . . . ?

By the time the previews aka trailers are over, the featured movie will be on Netflix.

Haven’t been to a movie in eight years. Forty minutes of ads before the trailers convinced me not to go anymore.

They don’t do sequels anymore. They do remakes.

The problem of going to the theater after all the previews is you get to sit in the end rows or you’re thisclosetothescreen.
