This was probably originally a three-panel strip, but the third one was censored for too much gore.

DeBeers, who own all the diamond mines in the world, except the one in America, and control the prices of diamonds, said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

They also, at last count, have 41 block long warehouses with diamonds stored in them. They destroy more diamonds than they sell, all for profit. They are the Mafia on steroids. They have taken down governments in Africa, that have tried to nationalize the diamond mines and they make America to regulate how many diamonds may be found and kept by Americans.

However, the worm may have turned. Man made diamonds are now perfect and cheaper than natural diamonds. This is cutting into DeBeers’ profits. I am waiting to see how they use mafia tactics to shut down their new competitors.
