Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I’m surprised that BobOscar hasn’t submit his regular story review and synopsis comment. Hopefully he’s O.K., maybe he’s in deep trench warfare with that DT group still.
Mind you I wouldn’t blame him for not commenting on that story.
Gee, you can demand what detective handles a case? Like, you’re the only crime in Tracyville that matters?
Come to think of it, Tracyville only has one crime at a time.
But Eric has already indicated Tracy is about 120 years old, although he’s a lot like Moses (Deut. 34:7) “Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.” (NIV)
On the minus side, Tracy hasn’t actually solved anything in years, but he’s got a good track record from relying on his ESP and coincidences that transcend all laws of probability.
It might help if you first establish the identity of the corpse – which is your job Ms Coroner.
Who this dame the mayor of Tracyville? She the chief of chiefs? Or some steenky politician or celebrity? How else she can demanding who be on the case?
There is a major obstacle that will make it difficult for Tracy to solve this crime. Standard police procedure involves interviewing the victim of the crime, but in this case, the victim is a corpse. Now a corpse is a corpse, of course, of course, and no one can talk to a corpse, of course.
Bigger Mystery is where is Mike Curtis? If He’s unable to continue, why is he still being credited – contractual? Heck, Stan Lee was Credited as Writer on The Spider-Man Comic Strip but it was actually Roy Thomas doing the work for years – atleast Eric gets a credit – but for some mystery reason, we got a minit mystery in them middle of the last story, and now we got a new storyline lasting who knows how long or if Mike Will ever return (Tribune playing out his contract?)
“Let’s give this …SAM, is it? a shot. He’s been draining the finances being PAID for all these years, and whenever I see him, he CLAIMS to be ‘this close’ to cracking that big jaywalking ring from 1965. Oh, and once he leaves the MCU, change the locks.”
When did Pat go to a light brown uniform? I thought Tracyville was traditional police blue for patrol, white shirts for supervisors, and, of course “plain” clothes for investigators. (not that you could call some of Lee, and, Liz’s outfits plain.)
Not sure if America was in the mood for the Dick Tracy storyline just concluded, about how the families prominent in our civic and financial elites are getting Nazi-curious about their Nazi ancestors. But has there ever been an era that wasn’t up for a good corpse-napping story? Dr. Hart here is [annoyed] about an attempted corpse theft and she wants Neo-Chicago’s top cop on the case! Only he can track down the perpetrators! And, of course, if the notoriously trigger-happy Tracy were to produce more corpses in the course of his investigation, bringing more business to the morgue … well, that would just be an added bonus.
I have been notified that I am being honored during a ceremony at the 2025 Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival in Marshfield, MO on April 24-27, 2025. I will be receiving a star on the Missouri Walk of Fame. The Missouri Walk of Fame includes Entertainers, Authors, Politicians, Sports Personalities, and other celebrities either born in Missouri or who have strong Missouri connections. Only 6 individuals are honored with Walk of Fame Stars each year. I have not yet learned who the other 5 recipients will be.
Many other VIPs who have been previously honored and who will be in attendance are Richard Thomas (John Boy), Kami Colter (Elizabeth) (The Waltons); Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder), Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson) and Charlotte Steward (Miss Beadle) (Little House on the Prairie); Tina Cole, Stanley Livingston and Barry Livingston (My Three sons); Mimi Gobson (Voice of Lucky, 101 Dalmatians); Beverly Washburn (81-year-old American Actress, Old Yeller and many others); Margaret Kerry (Disney’s model for Tinkerbell); William Anderson (Author/Historian) and others not yet named.
I will be participating in a panel discussion and signing autographs in the autograph room on April 25th and 26th along with the other recipients and the special guests.
Here are various photos of several blocks on the Missouri Walk of Fame where I will be honored:
While stealing bodies from the Morgue would be a crime, and would mess up lots of prosecutions. As in, it shouldn’t be the chief Coroner complaining, it should be the District Attorney!
But having said that, I think it would be much more interesting if they had been surreptitiously delivering a body. And then either amending, messing up, or stealing a lot of the paperwork so it isn’t apparent there is an extra. (And of course, maybe they did that first!) This could also explain the ST-TOS names if they were made up by the villains.
