We pay cable monthly to have sales people in our living room pitch for three minutes out of every fifteen minutes. Does not make sense.

All these channels and nothing on worth watching is the modern equivalent of water, water everywhere, yet not a drop to drink.

Thatā€™s a problem I havenā€™t had since the advent of videotapes and dvdā€™s. If thereā€™s nothing on TV, put a dvd of your favorite show or movie in and watch that.

If you have not yet forgotten how to read multiple paragraphs linked together, maybe ā€˜TV Guideā€™ is a likely substitute.

Pink Floyd wrote ā€œIā€™ve got 13 channels of %@^# on the TV to choose fromā€. Today, I sing ā€œIā€™ve got 13,000 channels ā€¦ā€

But to be fair, thereā€™s usually something to catch my attention on YouTubeā€¦.

I had cable once, too hundred channels and not but garbage, Liberal news, HSN and commercials. Went to over the air broadcast, same 5417, but at least I am not paying $100 a month for it. Plus I get some Basic new without all the political BS.

Which is great, because reading a good book is a much better option anyway.

Thereā€™s nothing on the tv because itā€™s a flat screen. I still have an old portable in my study and have placed a picture of my grandchildren on top. That way l always get a great picture.

Such a small TV. At least itā€™s modern unlike the ancient sets youā€™ll find in other comics for some stupid reason. Nuff said.
