It looks like they’ve both fallen in love! I don’t how long it took to get to that point, but not long. I wasn’t really expecting that. (I know that some will think I should have expected it.) This will make it worse when their romance is interrupted.

Might be a good ending but the road there is long and boring.

Songs for swingin’ lovers will get the dance floor jumping. Fabulous art. Love how the middle panel is set to the lights. Bold shadows and a third “panel” that overlaps. Dreams can come true. It could happen to you, if you’re young at heart. Each feels the other is too marvelous for words. Will “Mr. Moka” put an end to the good times? Slaughter and heartache are always lurking in Tracyville.

Wow, that was a well done strip! Dot is spectacular. That dress is — whoo…(giggles)

Sadly, I feel it’s all going to end badly. I feel for Dot.

The third panel(???) is very old school with the “roundness” of the facial details.

Really great layout and art today (even the MC is excelling)! I just wish the content didn’t make me think I was reading Brenda Starr by mistake….

I agree about Shelley’s art the first and second panels are excellent. I also agree thestory line needs work. But at this point it is what it is!

When Tonsils accidentally killed the old photographer and was a manslaughterer at least;Dot had no choice butto wash her hands of him.

In the world of Dick Tracy there are few people around without bizarre facial features, after all…I enjoy these strips but yes the stories don’t always track very clearly…

so is Tonsil’s right eye a lazy eye then? Cause now his left eye looks normal.

I’ve been re-reading some of my favorite Gould stories. Actually, he sometimes took almost as long to set up new characters and put them into play. The difference is, we could always depend that the story would be interesting, and would run as long as needed to tell the whole tale. I think the problem here is we are aware of Mike’s tendency (at least in past stories) to rush the ending. Otherwise, we could relax and see where this story takes us.

News from the real world: while still eligible to win an Oscar, Will Smith has been banned from attending the Oscars for ten years. I assume this means that if he does win, someone else will accept the award in his behalf.

OFF TOPIC: SO, you guys like CAR CHASES, eh? Imaging Tracy in this 5 minute chase on a crowded bridge. With Sam driving, of course… Oh, and if you like, you can close your eyes and imagine Ape and Ferret from the second Yeti story. ;)

They’re both wearing different clothes, so I take it this is a different night, but the other storyline seems to still be on the same day.

I really hope Coffeehead will kidnap Tonsils, put is feet in a washtub of fast setting cement, then take him for a boat ride where he can debut his new hit…..The Bubble Song.

Excellent art work today. And the colors seem more saturated and effective.

Kinda reminds me of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (especially the latter, as Dot View struts her stuff).
