So we learn that the Moon people cannot read human minds. I think this question came up in the comments last week. Ro-Zan has a plan to deal with Mysta Chimera. I wonder what her weakness is.
Unfortunately Gould didn’t do much for worldbuilding or species building for that matter. Didn’t Lunarites have a language of their own? Shouldn’t they be conversing in lunarian?
Theres their downfall…they’ve discarded Honeymoon already…she’s gonna be the saviour of the story…AND have her mother’s parents living with them in tracyville
why do I get the feeling that the LoonAryan conspiracy is doomed to fail before any invasion plans can get off the ground due to Ro-Seanne’s fascination of Mysta and is becoming more and more enamoured of her to the point that he will betray his fellow conspirators at the end, thereby dooming their hopes to overrun the human race?…
The problem with the way this story is developing is that the Moonies are not incompatible with Earthlings but incompatible with living on Earth. They are too dangerous. Perhaps one or two are okay—-but an entire population of advanced humans with advanced abilities?
Even if Tracy stops this rebellion, what prevents another splinter group from forming? Eventually, some Moonie will realize that he has powers far beyond those of mortal men. Political ideas are hard to kill. In the old days, plenty of Earth criminals made their way to the Moon. What’s to prevent plenty of Moonies from deciding to raid Earth’s wealth for their own benefit?
Suppose Tracy stops the rebellion. Do the Moonies then have permission to integrate into the Earth population—emigrate to countries of the world? Will there be other Earth/Moon marriages (and more offspring with the powers of Honeymoon)? …or…Do they remain in Antarctica as prisoners in their own city, not allowed to enter Earth society because of their danger? If so, who keeps them there if they are free people or do the governments of the world somehow keep them at bay?…or…Are they relocated to a new planet or moon—Io or Europa perhaps (maybe they will find Ghote, Sail and Munroe)? …or…Do they just guarantee they will stay in their city and never bother Earth governments again because they will be good now and remain unseen from now on and keep to themselves (pretty weak if this one is the outcome)?
I am enjoying the story so far after the long and slow-paced setup, but I think Mike might have written a story that might not have a satisfying ending. He may have opened a can of worms and he can’t get them all back in the tube. Oh, wait, that’s toothpaste….
Once they and this plot are exposed, there is no going back. People on Earth may accept Mysta Chimera and Honeymoon but will never accept the danger of a racist Moonie living next door. It would be like that commercial where the family is having a BBQ in the ba
Nothing ominous here, folks. Just Ro-Zan and Tezla, exchanging little lovey-dovey bon mots, as they stroll along the way in New Moon Valley.
Right. That’s what they want you to think, Tezla has softened her look since Sunday (yesterday) and looks younger and much more innocent. You keep on thinking that, Earthling!
Meanwhile, the plotting against all non-Lunarians thickens, Ro-Zan’s Renegades may not yet be quite ready to attack, but they are working on it. Corollary: Tracy and Ambassador (and Mysta and Honeymoon) cannot afford to dawdle….

Telza has a softer look today, so is the Sunday page drawn by a different artist than the dailies? Sorry to sound so “duh”….. Dennis

Tezla underestimates Dick Tracy. He’s been detectiving longer that she’s been alive, I would wager. Ro-Zan underestimates Honeymoon, too, I’ll bet.

I bet Honeymoon can read both Human and Lunarites minds. Don’t know about Mysta.

Maybe Mysta will able to read their minds.

Somewhere Tracy must be saying how did I let Junior marry into this family? Not that he could stop him, Junior had his mind made up.

Be sure to see today’s “Brewster Rockit”. It could have been these moon people that Agent X was talking to.

If the moon people can read each other’s minds … how is their conspiracy still secret, and why do they need Tracy?

1-RED-HAIR: So, what’s the meaning of that symbol on your shirt?
2-BRO-ZAN: It means I’m lightning fast in the sack.
RED-HAIR: So, it’s like a scarlet letter of shame?
3-BRO-ZAN: Not at all! It means I’ll be out of your place in a flash. Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes with me can appreciate that.
RED-HAIR: Indeed…
