If I were Elly and my nose and eyes changed shape every time I looked in a mirror, my haircut would be the least of my worries.

She just flushed her pride

If she does that every time she sulks in the bathroom, their water bill must be awfully high.

She forgot to wash her hands.

Oh come on, it will grow out in a couple months. Geeze. Or just wear a hat.

From Lynn’s Comments: A psychiatrist friend once told me that when someone, male or female, makes a drastic personal change, it’s often reflected in his or her hairstyle. A drastic cut or colour might mean that a serious decision has been made. I wonder if that’s true!

Honestly, I don’t understand all the fuss. She got bangs, that’s all. That’s not a big difference from before.

They have plumbing problems- the toilet seat is shaking when she flushed.

Is this joke that she plucked an eyelash out and flushed it down the toilet? Since it looks like the hair dresser didn’t cut her hair after all. Good thing though she closed the toilet lid. You don’t really want to see your eyelash being flushed down the toilet!

Many, many women I have known have made a drastic change to their hairstyle after having a baby. I’ve always wondered why that was…..?

I said this before when Elizabeth had doubts about her haircut, but a “good” haircut is simply one that makes you confident and happy. you could literally cut your hair with a weedwacker and leave bleeding bald patches mixed with random-length locks in odd places, but, if you show up looking confident and happy, other people are going to think you’re cool and try to imitate you. And not just the haircut, either.

She is.

It’s hair, it will grow back, get over it.

Hair grows back, I haven’t got a clue why anyone would “agonize” over a haircut. Short hair means you don’t have to spend so much time taking care of it like you do with long hair

When I was reading this strip a couple of decades ago, I didn’t pick up on Ellie being THIS disturbed.

It’s a mullet, why would anyone do that?

At least she does not have a hairdo like April’s. Otherwise Elly would look like a phallus!

Remember the time you insisted on cutting Elizabeth’s bangs and couldn’t figure out why she threw such a fit about you cutting them to short. Karma Elly, karma!

Forget her hair. What she really needs is a nose job!

You can barely even tell she had any of it cut.
