This original joke from the 1920’s did not involve shaving, just a haircut, and the lotion was lilac water on the neck, not the other stuff. Ask any barber; they’ll confirm this fact. I’m nearing 80 and I remember my dad snickering over this one when I was a kid.

You know, most of these characters have merit, a certain truth to them, but tiffany is some grotesque exageration of a disney sitcom antagonist. I don’t get it. She’s never had a boyfriend, never dated, she doesn’t have any real friends, but her deluded nature is off the charts. Over the past few years, Greg Evans has brought story arcs into all these characters that really flesh out who they are, but Tiffany is still just a cartoon character, the Wil-E-Coyote. Is her delusion ever going to crack? Or are we going to see her go through the same cycle of set-up, embarassement, and then all the readers will delight in her downfall, while she convinces her self that nothing happened at all? There must be a real Tiff in here somewhere

Late to the party today. My first thought (like others have pointed out) is that Tiff couldn’t have done this, because =everyone= would know. Her not having done it could easily account for her outraged response—it’s the same as Luann’s response yesterday when she denied sexting with Quill.

Way to go Luann! Now that you have her off balance, go for the kill.

You forgot Current Love Interest Quill, Lev. He’s been well represented lately. Actually, the vast majority of the cast is still in play. The only regular cast members sadly reduced to filler are Bernice, Delta, Mom, and Dad. Regarding the occasional players, we haven’t seen much of Ox for a while, and AE has just finished up a great arc, definitely to return as her parting shot to TJ was “You haven’t seen the last of me.” The past Luann Love Interests haven’t been seen in an age except for the diary entry a bit ago. They’ve served their purpose and are gone—though I’m still predicting Aaron Hill might make a brief reappearance to confound the situation with L and Q. Zane—gone ages ago and no use pining for him.

I share your frustration at the lack of Bernice. She used to be a great character and her arcs were dependably very good. Nowadays, she needs to cheer up. Probably is outgrowing Luann and just hasn’t made the break with her yet. It’d be wonderful to see more of her and Delta again. They strike me as characters who need desperately to have more realistic, growing-up development—which Greg could probably handle, if he put his mind to it. Neither of them seem to need to keep acting like 14-year-olds.

If I were in charge we would see an arc where Bernice deals with Zane getting married.
