Well “Gee,” Le$. “Gun-Thar” is only living with some Angry, Two-bit, Thug that once pushed him around in High School. So that sorta tends to get in the way of the “fun.”

Gunther? You should take note. THIS is what Your annoying “Passivity” gets You when to try to Accommodate and Co-exist with a Hoodlum.

Son, You REALLY need to move on Campus and later get a part time job so you can afford an apartment, and DARNED QUICK!

OK Les, tell us what makes you happy. Tell us whom you like and why. Read any thing good lately? You can read, can’t you? This hear boy is a downer (to be read with a deep Southern accent, y’hear).

I don’t recall too many people having fun with Les. However it did look like Tiffany was ready to have fun at one moment.

Good on Prudence for being honest enough to confront the irony of Les declaring himself “fun.” If Les will listen to anyone, it would probably be Pru. I guess he listened to Uncle Al when it came to dealing with Ann, but he probably trust Prudence more.

Les you forgot to take your fun pill.

Pru, if you’d be so kind as to point to to Les that hanging around with drab, boring Gunther makes him look all the more cool and exciting by way of contrast. That, and he gets compassion points for helping out the style-challenged.

The greatest new comedy team since Laurel and Hardy, Lewis and Martin or Abbott and Costello!

Pru is so supportive. An elder sister, like with Luann!

When Pru said ‘fun Les’, was that one word or two?

Left kind of mixed up response to Tea Fanny above. Considering who I believe her to be I hope it makes some sense. I wouldn’t put too much credence or stake in Les’s description of him and Gunther. In a way its like Brad and TJ, except they are best buddies since grammar school. Even Toni has accepted TJ who has some rough edges, but has become a real caring friend, if a bit aggravating, Les is aggravating, and I fully understand he is quite a jerk, but he has become humanized over the last few Luannverse years, being a close friend of Tiffany (both the geek and sleek are real friends in spite of what you think MD) and if you had a mom like Ann that would screw you up too. I still think there might be further humanization coming, involving Tiffany, Les, Ann, and Tom; this whole plot line with less than nurturing parents, and damaged kids (not Gunther, he is just an only child, over mothered, a phenomena I am personally familiar with, but he had a very nurturing parent) begs for some kind of humanization. I hate to sound like my fellow Baby Boomer, Benito, but we’ll see.

I had a dream last night that Jack took his python to the truck show and the snake escaped. My dreams come true quite a lot. Wonder if that is in the stars for this cartoon strip.

Poor Leslie. Nice that Prudence is good to him. Not as easy as some might think.

Les is full of complaints this week it appears.

While I am not fond of the “Odd Couple” story arcs with Les and Gunther, I do think the pairing, if continued will benefit both (of course financially, but) in terms of growth. Gunther may relax a little in areas of his life where he needs to and perhaps Les will become a bit more “motivated” to have a goal or ambition that is not just “revenge” or “scam” or “party”.

With the notion that we are seeing Les WITHOUT Gunther at the moment, I am hoping perhaps we will have in the next arc Gunther WITHOUT Les (and truthfully, without Tiffany as well). It feels like this “Les” arc is going to be helping us better see him as a character today as opposed to his former self. I would like a similar arc for Gunther… without all the “trappings” to which we see the angry/moody Gunther (when he is with his Mother, or at the “bachelor pad”, or often when Tiffany is being discussed) and see more about him as an individual.

Can her character be any more bland? You could replace her with a talking wall.

So Leslie really believes that between him and Gunther, Gunth is the geek? It just goes to show, nobody sees themselves as others see them.

It appears this K2 episode is to remind us of where we stand since the last “Gunther and Les in Jail” arc. Is this a lead in to the next episode in that soap? Will Pru be involved, or will she remain as a linking character, popping in and out where needed?

An interesting twist would be if it turns out Les is still carrying the torch for Pru. He was much more romantically behaved toward Pru than his blatantly prurient display with Tiff at the dinner.Les could declare that he “self-identifies” as a female AND a lesbian. Yeah! That’s the ticket. :o)

Wow Les, your beard grows really fast.

Thus saith the guy who would rather sleep on the floor than have a house full of old furniture. Nothing Les says should ever be taken seriously because he’s got the attitude of a 6 year-old.

Tiffany doesn’t need either one of these guys. Maybe Gunther if he ever grows up!

I can’t believe that Gunther and Les agreed to that arrangement in the first place. Yes, their relatives got married to one another. But that doesn’t mean that those relatives can or should dictate their living arrangements.

I like Pru’s subtle probing, especially the last panel.. "…you think you are fun?… " she’s forcing him to self-assess.

The Joke went so far over his head it didn’t even muss up his hairdo.

Luann, in a nut shell: Toni and Brad got married. Gunther, the nerd, had a lot of opportunities with hot girls, but Greg left him hanging. Check back in 5 years for the next update.
