No, Bern, Bets and Gunny are only distracting you! Give it a rest. Sheesh, you’re such a control freak!

Did Bets leave the room? Is Gunther being a good man by gathering food for Bets?

This is such a bad idea – music – food – lotsa people – to study ???

Bernice let it go. I say blackout party will win.

Seems to me the other students are being distracted ONLY BECAUSE Bernice keeps making an issue and a scene about it. Nobody would notice if she’d let them be.

Either that is cauliflower or white broccoli on that dish Gunther is holding.

Go to Kip’s, Tiff.

No, you really Should. And maybe Bernice will notice and follow you and wind up BUSTING Kip’s “party.”

And THAT way, maybe Gunny and Bets can finally make out in PEACE.

Bernice is talking BS. The only “distraction” in the room was her as she loudly and unsuccessfully tried to force B&G to obey her.

Delta would have made a better RA than Bernice.

It would help if Tiffany had some books to study from, but apparently not.

Gunther apologizing to Bernice???? And, Bernice is continuing to scold them like they’re little children? Dang… if Bernice had treated them like grown-ups and discreetly told them what her issue was, that would have been fine.

Seems to me that if his behavior was so offensive (to Bernice, and Bernice only), then he should haul his butt outta there!

And, Angel Tiff should remind Tiff exactly how high the stakes are. Tiff had scrimped and sold off her valuables to pay for the dorm. Can she conjure more stuff to sell? If she flunks out due to partying, what other options does she have, besides moving back home with Ann Awful waiting at the door for her?

Not convinced they’re really distracting anyone but Bern… Also, doesn’t everyone have a mind of their own?

At my college if a person wanted to seriously study there is the 4th floor of the university library. All a person could hear is the buzz of the florescent lights. The week of finals the floor was packed.

They are not unfocused, but it might be better if they got a room.

Tiffany can do both. Go to the study ball and invite everyone to come with her to the blackout party.

Tiff has ADD.She doesn’t know if she’s coming OR going.

Why is Bets telling Tiffany’s business?

By “others” she means herself…

In this case, Tiff has a mindlessness of her own. She should tell those little emotional spirits to bug off, and use her mind to decide what is best for her in the long run.

I’d love to see Bern transfer to a University not in this strip. She is just isn’t a fun character.

So Tiffany might, and based on her cute temptation angel/demon, might go into the study hall. She apparently is right outside the door. Looking carefully at the first panel there is a sign saying study hall, so it can be inferred that Bets and Gunther are still in the venue. I like the deprecating but diplomatic way Gunther handled Bernice’s scolding. Better she not say that to Bets, who might not have been so nice. Anyway will Tiff come in? Hope so, but either way it should be hilarity ensuing.

Right now, Tiffany’s head is split in two for a doubt about what is right to do and what she wants to do. Good to know that Gunther is aware of how he and Bets are unfocused. Is he afraid to say Bets to control herself or is he unable to control himself? Having Tiffany next to them would be a great help.

Gunther and Tiff sorta maybe and now Bets and Gunther are sorta maybe. And now we will have Bets and Tiff sitting next to each other with Gunther in the middle. Hhmmm.

She may as well go to the party – her mind will be there all night.

When Bernice changed her hairdo in high school, I was hoping for an entirely new person to burst fourth; not the outwardly improved but even worse stick in the mud that she has become

Tiff is the queen of temptation. Those shoulder angels and devils had better steer clear.

What am I missing here? An innocent little romance with a lot of action, but no heat? Tiffany returning to her own special level of glamor? And Kipper the Dipper, is he going to make a play for Tiff? I do not know the intent of this arc, but it is plodding along with very heavy boots.

Yet Bernice acting like a harridan isn’t distracting at all.

Looks like she has TWO minds of her own.

The fact that Bernice says “she has a mind of her own” with that facial expression says a lot about her.

Wow, nice that Gunther and Bernice are talking like mature people.

Bets doesn’t even go to that school or any as far as I can see. She just latched on to Gunther as part of her Influencer career strategy.

Oh,joy.Now ten zillion people will get on Gunther’s neck because he apologized.

I’m shocked that Bets let Gunther out of her grip and let him talk to another woman!

Gunther is the first person to say something sensible here. All day yesterday everyone I read seemed to think Gunth and Bets over on the couch talking (or maybe making out—implied? Just not in a panel?) a bit rude to those actually wanting to study. Get a room, you two….and this not from a “prude”…hey, I was a child of the 60’s..peace, love and Woodstock…but seriously, that was not the venue for their snuggle time.

Today’s strip is both interesting and informative. • Gunther admits that studying together with Bets is not going as well as he’d like. • Bernice appears in the role of truly focused on providing a beneficial study environment with Study Ball; as opposed to mere jealous interference in Gunther and Bets behavior. • G-man and Bern are aware of Tiffany and her difficulties with her studies.

The reference to Tiff’s last Econ Test fail is particularly interesting. Folks have speculated about whether she completed her Econ course and how she could be allowed to change rooms mid-term. But I think this plot discontinuity will go unexplained.

Finally, Tiff is outside the Study Ball wrestling with her study conscience. She could have been depicted outside Kip’s room wrestling with her party conscience

What WILL she do?

Is this going to be the storyline where Tiffany goes insane? Then when she is locked up in the funny farm her father comes to her and says, “I knew that Anne Eiffel was wrong about cutting you off from money and it led to this! This is all my fault!”

Tiffany is having a dichotomy situation. My future as an entrepreneur or forever a “party girl”. Her “Daddy” is a nerd who give her daughter a credit card as a substitute for parental love. Has a Mother who disappeared. There is grifter living in Daddy’s mansion.Tiffany open the door to the Study Ball!!!@!!!!!!!!

Did Tiffany‘s mom go out for a mani-pedi & vanish or did she pass away?

But that will have to be enough for the nonce.

I used to have a supervisor like that, and it drove me nuts. It was always the passive “people have said that you should…” when what she really meant was “I’d like you to…”

Seems like she needs a refresher on her motivation. Where’s Ann anyway?

Well, I guess this could be considered a Saturday “cliffhanger…”

I know the outcome of this tiny shoulder people fight will speak volumes about whether Tiffany is learning about what really counts, and whether she stands a chance of beating Ann Eiffel at her own game, and yet…

Holy cow….everybody is jumping all over Bern for trying to maintain some control over the atmosphere. Trust me, if two people are making out on the couch during what is supposed to be a study session, the only person who DOESN’T know what’s going on is going to be the janitor who isn’t in the room! Bern is right. And if Gunther is truly contrite, he’ll tell Little Miss Velcro to keep her hands to herself while he studies. Or, they should leave, since all they can seem to think about is studying one another’s anatomy. Come on, Gunther. You’re better than this.

With the state her mind is in… I’m surprised she made it this far.

If Bets planned on going to the study ball, she might/should have told Tiffany that she and Guns might be there and to help her to study. Bets knows Tiff failed her last test, maybe Bets could help her to pass the course. Tiff needs to stay away from the party and focus on passing.

It’s almost as if Tiffany is fantasizing about her very own ménage à trois.

Tiff is on the horns of a dilemma. Choose option 3. There’s always an option 3.

She’s frozen up by Indecision.

Tiffany’s Dilemma continues. Which voice will she listen to?

And, BTW, has Gunther wishy-washied out on Bets?

you guys & gals are all right of course she should study, i’ve never went to college so i never had to go through anything like this. i’m dreadful at tests and i would not be surprised at all if i did get F’s if i did one semester & that’s not me being negative at all i just know my limits ya know? as for Tiffany i also am liking the new Tiffany before she was never a character i really cared for as i always thought she was stuck up and she was.

but this new direction with her actually working for a living something i never thought i’d see at all let alone selling her stuff and downsizing her dorm room and getting a roomie i never thought i’d see either, so i hope she stays

I’m gonna take up for Bernice here. If they aren’t going to study, then why be there? Go back to the dorm and cuddle. I’d find it off-putting and distracting if a couple were groping each other in the middle of a study session. Whatever control issues Bernice has, I don’t think she’s wrong about this.

By the time she decides where she wants to go, both “parties” will be over!

Poor Bernice. Whatever she does or say it seems that it will be taken in the worst light by the reader. Point out that the two lovers are distracting the others, bad. Not doing anything about the snuggle feast in a study room would probably have been criticised just as harshly.
