Wife and I went to England about 10-12 years ago. I got to see Stonehenge and it was pretty awesome looking. At least until one of the people walking ahead of us around the path wanted a truly unique picture. She looked to be early to mid 20’s? Anyway, she stripped off all her clothes, ran up to the monument and had her husband/boyfriend take a picture. I wanted a picture too but my wife refused to relinquish he camera. As I recall it was a pretty cold night back at B & B also :(
Funny thing is, I’ve wondered on occasion whether the “architect(s)” of Stonehenge created scale models of the structure. They had no written language, so a model would have been a reasonable way to communicate the desired outcome, especially across the long span of time required for construction. Or whether they built prototypes to scale using less costly materials, i.e., wood. Or some combination of models and prototypes. Hmm…
Get Trump to try to buy Stonehenge. When the Brits say “no”, Trump could get angry and refuse to go to the UK. The UK would then resound with songs of joy. @UK: You’re welcome.
One of my stories is called “Invasion of the Gugs” huge beings who made megalithic constructions. When they angered Earth’s gods with some blasphemy they and most of their buildings were transferred deep underground. Some of them remains above ground. Among the smallest of their constructions is Stonehenge.
I’ve owned a pocket Stonehenge for over thirty years (bought it from Johnson Smith). It looks like a pocket watch, but inside is a scale model of Stonehenge. I can’t say that I ever checked it for accuracy.

Ever seen an orrery? That would actually sort of work… if you had a light source inside the sun.

I went to Stonehenge and all I got was this lousy desk calendar.

Put a round piece of wood on it and you can rebrand it as a chair or stool, since you seem to be lacking them.

I’m saving my money for a pocket sun dial.

The reason why Stonehenge was abandoned was that they got tired of resetting it for Daylight Savings Time.

Actually, I would think that might’ve been a roaring success.

Okay, I am thinking that is a good idea. If it was about 1/3 the size I’ll bet people would buy it today. I still remember pet rocks.

They need Fresh Air and Sunshine or the magic Curdles.
