I’ve already voted because, as an election worker at our tiny rural town’s poll, I expect I will be very busy for as long as the polls are open.

We voted by mail quite a while ago.

Today is the time to hold tight to your family and friends, your belief that all are worthy of a good life, your belief in the US Constitution, and in the one nation that continues to be a beacon to many in the world.

Is it perfect? Certainly not, but most citizens are working to make it so for everyone everyday. No place does it better.

I have a few ideas regarding the perpetual election running.

1 – No incumbent can run. We voted them in to do a job and that job is NOT campaigning for his/her next job. When they are out of work, they can run again if their term limit hasn’t kicked in.

2 – Campaign donations – no donating to anyone running. All donations go towards the job they are running for and get divided equally between whoever is running. If anyone drops out, their funds go back into the pot and get divided equally between whoever is still running. Any odd numbers that can’t be equally divided get held over for the next election. Likewise, people running can’t spend their money on themselves – it has to go into the pot.It would cut way back on donations overall (which is a good thing), and would make it harder for the job to be bought by whoever is the richest.

College football can have multiple overtimes (the record is 9)… and in all sports fans argue about bad calls and cheating refs/umpires long after the games end.

Since SCOTUS has ruled that presidents cannot be criminally liable for a-official actions while in office, he should issue a federal arrest warrant for trump and have him locked up immediately on charges of sedition. get him off the streets and away from the media.

Football games usually don’t last longer than 4 hours. This campaign has basically been continuous since 2015. Remember, even when he won in 2016, he complained about a long list of things the whole time he was president, then started running again.

Unfortunately, football games (we have them here, too) don’t just end as the whistle blows – there are usually a couple of weeks or months of post mortems, as well. As we say, “Vote early and vote often.”

VP Harris must not concede and she must start campaigning now. I cannot believe the female vote – surely that is an error? The black and Latinos I can understand because in my experience they are often the most racist and misogynistic and that fits in with the convicted felon adjudicated sexual offender’s trash talking.

I think one of the takeaways from the 2024 election is that a majority of Americans would rather have a convicted felon and a convicted rapist be president than a woman. It just takes my breath away.
