I do not recall this thread, however, I don’t think it will end in violence. That does not seem to be Schultz’s style.

Thibault’s attitude reminds me of when this strip came out and that this is in endless reruns. But hey, times change and cartoons can’t predict the future.

I taught both my sons to never start a fight but to finish it! I wasn’t raising punching bags for anyone.

If Thibault is such a sexist, why is he on the Peppermint Patty’s team? As for the last panel, this is different side of Marcy that we don’t usually see.

If Thibault is smart – and he isn’t – he will be running as fast he can for home. He’s about to find out that the quiet ones ARE NOT the ones you push around, pick on, or opinionate about. Loved this storyline when I first read it oh so many many years ago and still get a kick out of Mr. Schulz’s timing and commentary on society at that time in history through Peanuts.

Good…When I was in the 6th grade, our class had a really nice baseball team going and it included 3 girls. We were having fun. The other 6th grade class saw that we had a good thing going and challenged our class to play with their class. The only stipulation was “no girls allowed” by the other teacher. So, several boys from our class who had no interest were pressed into service, the girls became bat girls, score keepers, etc. And the fun ended.
