This is like an old joke: “My doctor told me to walk five miles a day for two weeks. Now I’m seventy miles away from home!”

When I’m out walking I prefer what I think of as “loop” paths. Next best is “lollypop”: A path to the start, a loop, then back along that initial path. Least favorite type: Out and back. Pastis seems to have solved the “and back” part. Good on him.

It’s not a fake news but here in Italy one person was found 300 Km far from home because he needs to walk during the pandemic. We Italians are very strange people.

can anyone remind me how far Forrest Gump went on his just-felt-like-running run?

East-West or North-South? You can travel quite some distance south.

And to think it all started because he admired the guy who would walk 500 miles, and then walk 500 more. He can’t stop ‘cause he’s got the darn song stuck in his head!

He wants to change his name to Walker, so he can get into the lucrative Beetle Bailey/Hi and Lois franchise.

Walked 3,000 miles and hasn’t lost a single pound, by the look of things.

My kids and I walk a lot during the warmer months but we don’t like to get too far from the refrigerator.

The best exercise there is!

North and South polar routes are longer, and both hotter and colder in parts….

But if you’ve gone 3,000 miles due East or West from Santa Rosa, at 44°N latitude…

We’ll leave a light on for you.

There’s all kinds of walks of life….he just took a wrong turn at the fork…

I walk daily and don’t leave the house. We have a treadmill and watch lots of Netflix…

How is he gonna find his way back home?

I wish I could walk. Did so spring thru fall. Too darn cold now. -12˚F at 8:30am today. High 3˚. Same temps in the foreseeable future. Ugh.

I am, naturally, familiar with the old trope, “riding off into the sunset.” Since Cartoon-Boy is starting from Califorgoshshakesnia he must be headed east, into the sunrise. Who ever heard of “walking off into the sunrise”? This is silly; yes, this is PBS….
