We (0K) are still in arctic vortex – it was 4 degrees pure yesterday with a windchill of -19 when I woke up. Today it is 6 degrees pure with windchill of -16. The high yesterday was 9. Today, in a real heat wave, it is supposed to reach a high of 21.

This blizzard thing is just Mother Nature saying she wants her carbon back!

Seems like most of America is saying that, right about now. I think even the folks in Florida are btching a bit. Maybe Belize is looking better.

That is why we have only one bedroom. We converted the other two: one is her hobby room, the other is my den. No relatives or kids visiting except for one or two days on the couch or a tent outside.

Yesterday it was just supposed to be rain in Philly. I saw the garbage truck coming and wanted to rush out to give him a gift and discovered a sheet of ice under my feet! I went down hard! years of judo training kicked in and i tucked my head and rolled my shoulders but my right legs was twisted behind me-imagine kicking yourself in the but and you’ll have an idea of the position. The collector had to pick me up and today I’m walking with a cane.-all because i wanted to do a good deed. Had i been a scrooge i’d have been fine.

We’re looking at a hard freeze down here in northern FL. Really funny: I’ve lived all over the United States: all the southwestern states, California, Colorado, Utah, Washington, Kansas, Connecticut, Massachusetts: and the ONLY place I ever had frozen pipes was in FL.

A winter wonderland, huh? It’s -8 degrees F right now where I am, but it feels like -34 degrees F.

As I said recently, I was hoping that the shrunken Fink would remain shrunken until after Christmas. Unfortunately, one of the Wizard’s best spells seems to have worn off already.

I only go to Florida for the theme parks. Did Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Sea World last year. Already have tickets for Universal Studios and Sea World next year.

I just noticed on a map that I don’t live near a pond and a woods. I live near a nature preserve. That explains all the wild animals coming around all the time. I never really thought about where the woods go, but yeah, it’s pretty big for being in a city. It’s not a park and I won’t even walk through it due to poison ivy and probably ticks and such.

Unless I’m mistaken, this is one of the very rare Wiz strips in which we hear of the King having relatives.

Would any of his cousins, or perhaps a nephew or niece, be in line for the succession? And do they ever visit him?
